The performance of the device is good and can play anygame well and AAA games when pushing a higher wattage but the battery is so horrendous that it only lasts and hour or 2 trying to perseve battery. Only worth it if plugged in t9 the wall. Also have had issues with the sim card being burned and no longer working.

Great powerful device for the size. I bring it over to friends house with Xbox controllers for split screen fun!

Love it, great price, great value. I really prefer that it has a Windows OS

I have had so much fun with the Rog Ally. Only downside of it is that it consumes the battery quickly when not plugged in but other than that it’s a fun toy

Very cool, looks beautiful, just not as user friendly as a steam deck. Though it is much stronger and runs games at better fps.

fantastic little guy. solid build quality. zero problems with hardware. i get the occasional game crash but that has more to do with the windows 11 rather than the ally itself.

If you have game pass, an xbox, or like the windows eco system, this is the handheld to use. I like my steam deck but the ally is better as far as more options.

Probably the best gaming decision I've ever made. Has replaced my gaming PC, has replaced my PS4, I no longer play my Switch... I've finally been able to make some progress on my Steam backlog!

This thing is great i can lay in bed and game while the wife watches tv and so far I've been able to play everything on my steam library that i play on my desktop computer

Beautiful screen, built in controller and excellent touch capability, speakers are divine for the size - feels like a boom box knowledge of how to use Windows is required, not great for a newbie to tech

As soon as you get it, UPDATE EVERYTHING!!! Once you get it up and running, it runs beautifully! There are so many youtube videos thag cna help you optimize it and it can run almost any game on it!

So far no issues. I’ve played steam games/epic games and there’s no lag whatsoever. It’s great if you have to travel but still want to play your games + you can play at the comfort of your bed.

It’s just not quite there on the software side IMO. Trying to set up various game launchers to work when not on WiFi (aka on a plane) is clunky (not ASUS’ fault), and even when it does work there’s regular issues with crashes and forced-resets (which aren’t easy on the device), triggering startup error message that required reinstalling windows, etc All in all I think it’s almost ready for showtime, but the next iteration will be the one that “just works”. If you are a PC-holic and ready to deal with the janky bs, it’s amazing.

A mixed bag. I love my ally, when it's running well. If you are running to much stuff, it will sputter and run poorly. The battery life suffers tremendously due to the amazing performance of games. If you want to play with the best and smoothest graphics, expect to be plugged in. The sound on the Ally is awesome. However, hooking up wireless headphones can be a chore.

Its greay for when im at work and on the go but it has its problems but once you gwt past that you cant beat it with a stick

This is my favorite piece of tech. Such a fun thing to tinker with and is a very capable PC gaming handheld. Not for beginners. Designed for someone who knows their way around a PC for gaming.
