Memory Card Issues Persist

My SD Card Reader broke on August 18. I updated the bios, drivers, etc. as they became available but the card reader still failed. Lucky my cards still work, just the reader broke. This is a common issue that was supposed to be fixed with a bio/fan curve update. Bummer those updates didn't work for me. Hoping the can return it quickly.

It’s way more powerful then I originally thought for gaming and productivity. Heck i’ve even been using Premiere on it to edit and color grade video!

You could even technically replace a desktop computer if you buy a XG mobile. I replaced my steam deck by the Ally, since I dint want to have to make tweaks to play games, but of you are a console player used to the plug and play experience, maybe this is not for you. Remember, this is a handheld computer with Windows. The Asus interface installed in it works but it is not perfect and SD reader may be a problem. So long story short, it depends on your use case.

Under an hour with most AAA titles. I think that Valve really balanced the Deck OLED with 15w vs battery. Hopefully Asus are taking note and focusing on battery for the next version. I’m sure this product works for a certain users but consider when and where you are using it before purchasing.

Because in asus I can play the Xbox games. And the screens are a little bigger and the only bad thing is that the battery runs out very quickly.

It shines in the low to mid graphic games. It can have keyboards, bluetooth mice, screens all connected simultaneously. Its a very capable machine. I personally use it to play Halo Infinite and even some light MMO 2D. It runs halo at mid settings great, and maplestory with ease. The controls allow you to personally your imputs for going from a shooter to a 2nd side scroller! Dead zones are kinda hard to simulate a mouse. Recommend getting a bluetooth mouse/ keyboard.

ROG Ally is just OK

Extremely powerful and easy to use since I’m accustomed to windows. But the battery is just awful, full battery to dead playing Fallout 4 in 50 minutes. Just not okay for a portable device honestly.

My husband brought this to my attention because I like to play Sims 4 occasionally and it was causing my laptop to crash. Had the Rog Ally for about 6 months now and never crashes. It does require more frequent updates than my laptop but other than that, it's amazing! It has all the benefits of a laptop, with all the benefits of the game console. Perfect combination
