I love this mobile pc. Works great and while I can’t confirm I feel like it tops steamdeck

I bought an open box of this product and it has amazed me from day one. I can't believe so much computing power can be packed into such a small device! It has no issues handling some of my favorite games (Sims 4, SWTOR, Guild Wars2) and I am enjoying being able to game again immensely. Definitely recommend! I still think I'll end up getting a more robust PC at some point, but this definite works in the interim!

Perfect handheld gaming pc! Just with the battery lasted longer, gets barely an hour on turbo mode with some games.

Great windows handheld More powerful than the steam deck and slimmer

Don’t let people tell you otherwise, the ROG Ally is awesome! I’ve had mine since launch and have zero issues or complaints. Everything works as advertised, highest quality, high FPS, AAA gaming in your hands. This is not a Nintendo Switch but as long as you know your way around a windows PC you will be right at home. This is exactly what I dreamed about when I was a kid, a one and done everything gaming console in your hands. No compromises, a home run in my opinion

Best handheld gaming device I've had. Can play up to 2 hrs on highest mode. Very nice for traveling. Superb graphics and frames. Just overall a great handheld. I've played every day for a few months and it's just overall better than competitors. Better battery compared to any other competitors

I already have a Steam Deck and a Switch, but I bought this for a few reasons: I like ROG products, I wanted one made for Windows, and why not? So far, it’s my favorite of the three: better display, better feel, and more power. For the most part, games run better on it than on the Deck. But it isn’t as polished as either the Switch or Deck, so if you’re not willing to tinker with it like a regular Windows PC, you might be better off with one of the others.

Great handheld PC for light gamers. Do not use the sd card as it has known issues. If you decided to upgrade the SSD, make sure to update the internal clock in BIOS before starting the cloud recovery. The system will hang due to mismatch between system clock and server clock, but it will not notify you to update the clock. Also, the first update will probably take a few hours as it is windows, but afterwards things should be very smooth,

Compared to the legion go, the rog ally performs similarly and drains battery at the same rate. The ally weighs less and it's easier to hold. With only a few video how tos online, most of how the ally operates is learned through trial and error. Regardless, many users will find the ally to be easy to use because its os is windows 11.

I like the Ally a lot. I also own the Steam Deck and is hard to get to a conclusion about which one i like the most. They both have features i like and that i dont like. All i can say is that if your main concern is the price, i would go with the Steam Deck because you get a pretty good case with it and it will cost you $100 less compared to the Ally with a case. If you buy the Deck now in July you can get it at 20% off and will save like $300 compared to the Ally.

As someone who loves tweaking their gadgets this is a lot of fun. However, if you are looking for a complete, out of the box experience, this might not be for you. I would recommend these tweaks to massively improve your experience. 1). Turn off aggressive CPU boost (search online to find out how) 2) Run all updates 3) If you don't go to shady sites, turn off Core Isolation in security settings 4) Use AMD super resolution for more FPS 5) Play around 50% brightness. I've been getting good performance and can get around 2+ hours on battery, although that's plenty my avg gaming session is usually around 45 mins to 1 hours. This is still a new product so hoping for new BIOS updates from ASUS to make it even better.

Great gaming PC that I can carry with me during my trips and use as a replacement for a desktop. I wish it has two thunderbolt ports instead of proprietary and a regular Type C. Bought an open box, came without any accessories, but I don't need them with a dock station I already have. Vibration could be better. The screen doesn't support HDR, but the GPU does

I love it. It can handle all AAA games no problem. It’s a PC in a handheld. Amazing! The screen is beautiful.

I recently got my hands on the ROG Ally, and I must say, it’s a game-changer in the world of portable gaming. The device’s ergonomic design makes long gaming sessions comfortable, and its compact size means I can take it anywhere. Makes it helpful during breaks, where i can play Madden or COD. The screen is a real standout feature - vibrant colors and crisp 1080p resolution bring games to life in a way I haven’t seen on other handhelds, (maybe minus the Steam Deck OLED, but not by much). The battery life is impressive,for what it is but be prepapred to have a plug or paower bank on you is you play demaning games. The ROG Ally also nails it in terms of performance. Games load quickly, though if you’re not used to Windows, it may be a pain, and the system handles graphically demanding titles well, ensuring smooth gameplay. The button layout is comfotable, providing a seamless gaming experience. The Ally is a must-have for any gaming enthusiast. It’s a perfect blend of portability, performance, and playability, whether you’re a casual gamer or a hardcore enthusiast

love being able to take my games anywhere with me. wish battery life was better at turbo but it is what it is

Incredible device. A few quirks but workaroundable until the device has time to be updated. Careful when considering using an SD Card. Can be either comfortable to hold or uncomfortable depending on your hand size. I love it regardless since it works well. Yes, it doesn't last long on battery but that can also be adjusted. Take your time with it and have patience. Enjoy the pros of what it can do, not what it can't do or have trouble with.

Great handheld PC. Remember this is a PC without a physical keyboard and mouse. So don’t be upset or surprised if everything you install doesn’t work the way you thought. This is not a portable console. That being said if you have the patience and don’t mind learning and watching the several YouTube tutorials then you will probably enjoy this wonderful machine. I have a Steam Deck as well and they are two different beast. I enjoy both for different reasons.
