I bought this gift for my husband as a father day gift. He said it has been the best gift ever I have not seen him put that Rog Ally down since I bought it for him!

Awesome handheld best I've used yet and it doubles as a PC! You really can't beat it whether it's gaming, programming, music production, or video editing on the go this thing does it all and is worth much more then it's price tag.

I am not loving this device. I held off on getting a SteamDeck because I felt there were still many improvements needed before it could replace a traditional console. The Ally Extreme peaked my interest because it seemed to have everything I wanted, except the price which was a bit high. With the price being about $100-200 too high, I excepted the best glitch and lag free experience available. Unfortunately that was not my experience. While it may be faulted down to being a Windows 11 issue, the constant updates, the lackluster battery, the ALMOST great performance when connected to my TV, and some other issues prevent me from even labeling this “good” for the price. I wish I could return it, but the return window was shorter than expected. I turn it on. It turns off. I try this multiple times and it keeps happening. I plug it it only to find it it fully charged but just needed to be plugged in to work. Then I try to open steam and search for something. I try to type in the text boxes and nothing works. I have to copy and paste to type. This is the official Steam App… The internet connect just disappears. Even the Xbox Elite 2 controller doesn’t work perfectly and it’s frustrating that there isn’t a better working controller. I also tested it with a PS4 (worked outside of GamePass) controller and Switch Pro (worked outside of GamePass). My final and biggest issue is that when I am connected to my TV, pop ups and other things will come up where I have to unplug from the dock and use ONLY the touch screen to complete as no other options work. So while yes, it can play any game out there now, and is capable of a great experience, in the short time I have had it, I have been more frustrated with it than any other game console or computer I have ever had. I will likely be selling it as I cannot return it.

I have had the Ally sibce initial release. It is an amazing piece of hardware. I play a sorts of games and it has been able to run everything I have thrown at it. If you are familiar with Windows, I wouls HIGHLY recommend the Ally, you will not regret it!

This new AMD Zen4 chip has amazing performance, I can run Diablo 4 at 1080p meduium with 60FPS. The only down side is on the software or BIOS, with the latest BIOS update there is a performance drop.

It's awesome! Good display, low on RAM though. I like this much better than my steam deck.

This thing blows my mind every time I turn it on. It outperforms my high performance build from a few years ago and it fits in my hand!! I haven't experienced any of the issues people have complained about and I love my ally and will be keeping it forever!

It’s an awesome hand held gaming PC like one of the first in its class I know it had its issues in the beginning but ASUS is ironing out the kinks/ bugs and has done so thus far I would definitely recommend everyone that games on a console,PC to get one.

First ever PC and I’m excited that it was the ROG ALLY. A handheld PC running windows 11 fresh out of the box. At first it was buggy but once I updated everything it ran like it was suppose to. Please before you doubt the ALLY you need to UPDATE everything on it.

Work great with my current tech eco system, no complaints on performance, battery life is based on graphicsl needs. It's better overall than a SteamDeck

I had nothing but great experience with the ROG ally! I have steam deck and other handheld and this is a beast! 120hz screen + cpu apu power enhances all emulator performance compared to steam deck.

Excellent machine if you're familiar with the Windows Echo System it's an amazing product, been enjoying God of War, Spiderman and Helldivers on this baby and they run great.

I paired the z1 extreme with the 3080 xg mobile. All i can say is "wow". I absolutely love the ability to be portable and ay my own games on the go whilst also still having the abjlity to plug in just like a desktop.

Love the Rog Ally, I also own 2 Steam decks and a few other handhelds but find myself always coming back to the Rog Ally. Love the quality of the picture image and the colors. The speakers are amazing as well. Netflix on this device is amazing as well!

Definitely enjoying this purchase didn't think I would like it because I wanted the Legion go. But after having it for a few weeks this is my new favorite hand held gaming pc

This hand held rock . It performs amazing . this thing is better than any laptop . The games runs smooth wen running in turbo . It also came as stipulated on the site like new . Thank you guys .

I replaced an old gaming computer I never used anymore with this. Was able to sell that and pick this ROG Ally up as an open box for the same price. It was in great condition and runs circles around the heavy old pc it replaced. Not only is it my portable gaming device, but I use it all day in docked mode as my work computer. Very happy with it! Battery life could be better if you want long gaming sessions with it however for my use, it’s perfect.

It isn't perfect for open box excellent, but for $500 it's fun to play all PC games on the go and stream from Xbox and PS5. I recommend.
