I'm loving this device, the Rog Ally is awesome!!!!!

The RoG ally exceeded my expectations from it's gaming performance from the quality of the product as a whole very happy with this purchase been able to handle just about anything i play on it running at medium to high settings on 1080p

Its performance is horrible, maybe 30fps in almost all games, also has like no storage and has 10x slower download speeds for sd card

I have never wanted to love a device more than this. The hardware feels great. It feels premium. It's powerful. However, it is a Windows 11 device. It has all the annoyances of Windows. If you are a console player you will most likely be frustrated with this device. I might have gotten a bad unit. Asus is notorious for poor quality control. My device crashed constantly. I eventually had to reinstall windows do get the device working. That worked great for a few days and then the device started crashing again. I love the idea of a handheld PC but this device isnt there yet. I'll wait for a second generation

worth doing the research as well as looking into how to maximumize performance on reddit, ive made 4 people buy these from best buy just by how they look. everyone wants one and it turns heads everytime someone sees you with one

I absolutely love it. I was playing on the steam deck then decided to look at this checked it out. Reviewed it I bought it play with it. Yeah I love it. Any destiny player out there that loves playing destiny. This is it right here.

Bought it for my sons 16th birthday he loves it easy to set up.

This device is more powerful than a Steam Deck, the 1080p screen on the device looks a lot nicer than a Steam Deck, and if you were looking at a $650 Steam Deck the extra $50 for a ROG Ally should be a no brainer, and I really want to be able to recommend it, but Windows cripples this device so terribly I can't. Here's just my past 4 hours trying to deal with this device: I put the ROG Ally in my backpack at 10:20am this morning. I pulled it out at Noon and the device was scorching hot. The screen would not turn on, even with various long presses. I reasoned that it managed to kill its battery (why????) and needed to recharge. Plug it in, come back to lunch, force shut down (long press) then hit the power button again and it finally boots up. Windows has changed the display scale setting on me so now all of the text is small and I have to on on and fix that. Not great, but recoverable. It also seems to have disabled whatever let the task bar go into "skinny" mode. So Windows Update has effectively rolled back functionality I had when I first used the device. Awesome. Another hour later, I try to turn on the screen again, and it won't turn on, except this time the battery is definitely full. I do another long press on the power button to get it to shut down and boot it up again. Try to launch a game and get a "Your graphics card does not support DirectX 12!" error. I then launch AMD's software and it says that WINDOWS UPDATE "UPDATED" MY GRAPHICS DRIVER TO A NON-COMPATIBLE ONE! Valve's decision to use Linux on the Steam Deck could not be more vindicated. I feel bad for ASUS, because it's technically not their fault, but running Windows is supposed to be a selling point for the device, and instead it's a weight around its neck.

I love it I play ghost recon wild lands and days on it with no issues.

This handheld pc is the best product I’ve ever bought from Best Buy. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for in a gaming pc, because this is my first gaming pc/handheld. If ROG comes out with another one I may get that one too.

Great potential! Windows OS and Armory Crate SE need a ton of improvement on the Ally. Battery life is kinda lame. The MicroSD card slot overheats and ruins MicroSD cards. No transparency from Asus on these problems.

Bought it as a bday gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it. The specs are incredible compared to the Steamdeck. If you are a PC gamer or introducing yourself to the world of PC gaming,this is for you.It comes with a small durable stand ,you'd have to eventually buy a dock eventually.

A very good console, it's just what i needed. The console arrived in excellent conditions. Some reviews said that it is very large and not very ergonomic, I feel that it is very comfortable to play

Sold my steam deck and got an open box for a very good deal. One of my best decisions of 2023. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the thumb sticks should be stiffer. Aside for that it is perfect for me in every way.

It's a great handheld, plays games from steam, xbox, etc. My only issue was that it needs to stay plugged in if you're going to play for a couple hours straight.

When you can play an entire library if Steam games already purchased and not have to invest $60+ per game for a new system, that alone pays for itself. Amazon graphics, sound, controls and that says a lot coming from someone who games on a 4090 gaming PC
