If you want to game on the go and play pretty much anything out there this is the way to go. It feels go in the hand, and it's well made. The screen is a good size and looks good even if it's not OLED.

LOVE IT! i use this as a laptop and gaming and man this thing is FAST! graphics are amazing, charging it will also increase the graphics a bit higher while playing. My only one problem is that battery runs out fast after an hour an a half of playing. cant take this outside and play like i did with my other handheld device but other than that, everything is perfect

The perfect gaming handheld with only one downside. This will play whatever game you want and look beautiful while doing it. The only downside is the battery only last 4 hours at best and usually 1-2 hours depending on what game you play. If you purchase this make sure to get a power bank also that can output 65w+ for when you're not near an outlet.

Good product honestly. Although open box does not come with a charger, you can easily get one off of amazon for like 20-30$. It’s a big savings if your looking to purchase. The only downfall is the battery life but as these products continue to come out they will figure out better battery life.

This thing is awesome for PC handheld gaming. This thing is a mini PC that runs surprisingly very well. Now granted, I always play plugged in. I’ve played a few times just on battery and you’re lucky to get an hour of game play. You probably have to set all of the settings to low. I can’t play like that. Storage sucks but I upgraded the SSD on day one.

To potential buyers, know what you are buying, this is not a console. It runs windows 11 and understand you will not be using it as a computer when in handheld mode. It’s a great device plays tons of games flawlessly, but again, you will Not be running AAA titles at max graphics at 120hz. Battery life is what you make of it. Set your games properly and you will get 2 hours per session easy. Don’t expect to play for 6+ hours. I recommend this to gamers with above average intelligence.

Not perfect for everyone but it's perfect for me. Have a lot of freedom with windows and less tweaking that needs to be done. Also game compatibility plays a big role and is the reason i play it more than my steam deck. Also can make it as powerful as a desktop with a xg mobile for an extra 800. I just really appreciate how versatile it is. Biggest issue is the battery but is to be expected. Overall really hope they continue supporting this and that they come out with another one but not too soon.

I've owned both Rog ally and Legion go and I personally went with the Rog ally. Legion go screen is beautiful and storage 1 tb is a plus but those were the only things I liked over the rog but thats not really worth paying another $200 for. Rog feels way better in hand and actually feels portable unlike the wrist busters aka legion go. Dont even get me started with software Asus is a better experience straight out of the box right now.

It is still a surprisingly powerful device. It can run all older games without any compromise, newer games can run with higher fps with some graphic downgrades. It is amazing to be able to play PC games while not being tied to the desk. Navigating windows using a relatively small screen and touch controls sometimes is pretty cumbersome. Some ui elements sometimes do not display correctly or are beyond the screen limits. The main downside is battery life. It lasts a little over an hour when using full power of its hardware. You can get around 2-3 hours with reduced settings. This problem is solved with a good power bank, which can double the runtime of this device. Another issue is I guess you could call quality control. Right speaker has an intermittent issue of working at a reduced volume, which started happening from almost the day of the purchase. Software updates could not fix the problem. These devices also have problems with memory cards and card readers, since they fail at a high rate because of overheating due to poor placement. I discovered that my card reader did not work few months after the purchase, when I decided to expand the storage. Currently my ally is in service to address these two issues, hopefully it will come out fixed. Turnover time is up to 4 weeks, so keep that in mind.

Bought this to play games on the go and while the wife watches TV. This is basically a PC in handheld form. Although small, dont be fooled. This thing is comparable to a PS5 in term of specs and playing games like Tomb Raider and Fallout is amazing on the go. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Also, iy can run steam, gamepass (PC version) and all other store fronts

As a dad its hard to find time to sit down and play a game. When i do game its typically not more than an hour. The ally is oerfect for this! Ive been playing gamepass, steam, WoW, PS remote play and more. I got it on sale and recommend you do too. i also picked up a battery just in case. Battery life is typically 90 minutes.

It's an undeniably cool concept, but poor battery life and the faulty card reader and triggers make it tough to recommend this iteration. The right trigger no longer works on my ally, so any game that makes use of it is largely unplayable. It's such a shame because the performance is really impressive.

This thing still does not cease to amaze me. Just this morning I was sitting on my couch playing battlefield 6 getting 60 frames per second with optimized settings. If you are unsure of the handheld PC market, you cannot best this thing in terms of price vs performance for an entry level purchase. Perfect for on the go.

I absolutely love my ROG Ally. I pretty much use it for every. Obviously i game on it more than anything. But i use it for everything else as well. I use it for online college classes, editing videos and programing my racing drones on the go. I got rid of my xbox series s and my gaming pc and just use this. Get a dock for it and hook it up to your pc monitor. Good to go!

Pros: runs games very decent for being a handheld and it feels very comfortable for its size and its very fast. Cons: battery it’s not that good compared to the steam deck i believe and since its a white handhled if you have sweaty hands you will notice over time dirty marks on the handheld. Also the back buttons can sometimes be a hazle when playing videosgame you might press them by accident and they might close the window on accident.

I've had the Ally for a little over a week and it has been great. Very easy to use and set up. Windows 11 is a breeze to walkthrough even though they spam you with privacy notices at the start which I recommend skipping. Overall the system runs pretty well and performance is solid across the board. Given time I'm sure ASUS will have this fully updated on the software side with little to no hiccups. Most games will need to be reviewed within their own settings to get the best performance possible.

With all these handhelds coming out. This one has to be my favorite. If you know windows then this will be a breeze to operate. I wish they didn’t rush it after they announced the console because there are a lot of bugs and a crucial sd card reader problem currently going on. I was one of the unfortunate ones that my sd card reader stopped working. Other that that an amazing device!
