I really love this device. The only issue is the storage and battery. I upgraded the storage to a 2TB ssd and it’s amazing. When looking at this product please know this isn’t a console it’s a computer and for a handheld computer it’s truly amazing

Superb gaming experience. Playing triple A games on the go is a blessing. I have a very busy schedule so the only way I can game sometimes is on a portable device. It’s more than worth the asking price. Phenomenal display, great refresh rate, armory crate is pretty awesome.

Great device!! much more powerful than the steamdeck and loaded with features. Your entire Pc arsenal of games is at your hand. The biggest downside is the battery life but in all truth this feels more like a handheld laptop than a handheld console. Still, I would highly recommend.

The Asus Ally is a interesting device with a great deal of potential. It a full windows 11 experience. Unfortunately it's stuck between being a hand held gaming device and a PC. The Ally doesn't know exactly what it wants to be. Playing the menus will give you better performance, and battery life. You really need to come at this as a PC first and a hand held second if you want the most out of this. You can't treat this as a Steam Deck because that is a different beast all together. You can approach it as a gaming device first and some people are forgetting that. My biggest complaint about the Ally is the battery is garbage. There is some other nuances with the device that can be fixed with firmware updates. Overall I've enjoyed my time with the Ally.

Love the product AAA games in the palm of my hands. They could have doubled the ram and had a better battery and larger storage option on purchase but all in all I love my ally

Ally is amazing handheld device that can play variety of games on the go and keep them look amazing. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. Performance of this thing is crazy and its the only handheld device with vrr, which in my opinion is absolute must have.

If you need a hand or want a hand held this thing is a beast. Cyberpunk 2077 1080p on med settings and fsr balance, i get consistent 35-40fps. I can drop it to 720p and get around 55fps. If you tweak this right and run at 15w, it handles almost anything at playable frame rate.

I've had this for about 4 weeks. Great system that at first felt a little complicated, but now it's super easy. It's not just a console, but basically a gaming PC in the palm of your hands. I bought the HUB to plug the unit in and then use HDMI to connect to the TV. I play Starfield, Halo, and many other games. Starfield I've got running at 40 - 60 fps on medium graphics setting which looks much better then those playing on the Xbox. The best thing about this is you can play Xbox games and Steam. Just make sure to get an Xbox controller which I find aligns really good with this. If you are a gamer - note PS5 controllers will not work with Xbox app - although will with Steam (I learned this after such a headache not understanding why it wouldn't work despite being synced). I highly recommend this - it's terrific.

Overall the Ally is really cool. It plays game surprisingly well, and is super versatile being a windows pc. Just wish the battery was like 50% better, but it's still a great device.

I had a steam deck before I purchased the Rog Ally Z1 Extreme. The device and game performance is 5 star but Windows is a little difficult to navigate (especially with the automatic mouse mode not working properly). The Armory Crate software has been getting better but still not as easy as SteamOS is for the steam deck. Once Asus releases AFMF drivers, the Rog Ally Z1 Extreme should be an absolutely amazing machine (AMD's version of Nvidia Frame Generation). I did have a MicroSD card die, but that may be because it was a low quality drive. Testing with a high quality Sandisk and has been fine.

Great hand held console. I was able to play the games that i like without my laptop that i usually use. Definitely can use a lot o the gaming apps as well to play your games from. Definitely recommend this console if you want to play your games on the move.

I love my ROG ally Z1 Extreme.... I also have the Lenovo Legion Go (Best BUY AND) The ROG ally X. I recommended this especially of you are trying get both plus the x and leave on docked to act as you're hone set up and use the x to travel with cause the micro sd works unfortunately the only gripe is that the Z1 Extreme Micro SD doesn't work but the internal memory can be upgraded. Bought the Ally open box. Works good but did not have the original charger. Barely was able to hold a charge in the beginning. Had to buy one on Amazon. Works good with most games. Can get choppy at times for AAA games that require you to run on turbo.

Has performed up to my expectations, screen fps is unbelievable. Only thing keeping this device from getting a 5 star is battery length. If you want top performance you will have to leave it plugged in.

Worried about SD slot problems and ASUS warranty issues. I get bad lag and every now and then when browsing. Great for low price though!

I love it! It runs wonderfully whatever game I play (after adjusting setting of course). I play a lot of Steam games on the go and this allows me to play them easily.

This is amazing, runs all the games with little to no trouble, could work on the battery life but it’s first of its kind, looking forward to future models with improved battery performance

Best gaming portable device. I also have the steam deck and this one beats it. The screen is the best part of the ROG! It's also compatible with more games without fiddling. The ergonomics are a bit worse than the steam deck. Battery life is as expected. The sound is amazing.
