all in all i think its a sturdy solid device, it plays most AAA tittles well. i would not say excellent because as one other on this review said it could be better. not by a lot but it could be a little better.

I bought this for my fiancée's birthday. Incredible that just because it was used the price went down by several hundred dollars. I will say the product itself is prone to overheating so I would replace the backplate.

The olny complaint is battery life it totally sucks and the price could be a tad bit lower than it is but the systems does wonders i play VR games off of it and everything pc, steam, GeForce,

I love it. I’ve always had an appreciation for mobile computing and mobile gaming even though I hardly ever go anywhere. Some people say windows 11 is a detriment to this device, some say it is its greatest asset. I believe the truth lies somewhere in between. The bottom line is this….I can play pretty much everything in my steam library and what’s more, I’m not limited to only steam games like this devices competitor. Yes I’m aware there are workarounds for that device but on my Ally, no such workaround is necessary. It’s a gaming pc without a keyboard and mouse with a high refresh rate display. Which brings me to my other favorite feature. That display is gorgeous. It is pricey, no getting around that but hey what even is money anyway?

When it's working, it's fantastic and would be the best gaming handheld. BUT with the many hardware issues, SD card reader and joystick issues, it still needs some time to sort things out for it to be perfect.

Ive had it for almost a month now since the release and im very happy with it,i love the preformance and the 120hz display! A real game changer for gaming enthusiasts,however im always having to be next to an outlet when i use turbo mode as the battery drains rather quickly.

Pretty much runs everything I throw at it. I got it when it was on sale for 500$. Worth the purchase. Bought myself an 2230 2tb (130$) and a mod case (32$) (for extra cooling). The battery is the only issue, before you know it you need to charge (time flies when you enjoy something). But with the extra $ I bought a power bank (60$) lol. Almost the price of the ally x in total but... I got double the storage (of Ally x 1 TB) and much faster speed plus I can connect other things with my new power bank. I'd wait for the sale or go straight ally x if this one is not on sale.

As a Mac User, having a portable windows based device is a godsend. While having to work through a free updates and driver issues the ASUS Rog Ally has been amazing for me to play games. It’s so convenient to also play while lounging in a recliner or bed.

Great graphics; gives benefits of gaming without having to purchase expensive laptop or being tied to a stationary console. .

Amazing for on the go gaming. Plays any and all games I've played. BG3, madden, Diablo 4, the list goes on. The battery life is about 2 hours on 1080p 120hz but it looks and plays amazing. I recommend buying am aftermarket m. 2 for 2tb as 512GB isn't much space.

Small screen and less than stellar battery life but power is there and device is light and easily portable. Just wish it didn’t have the rog “gamer” look about it quite as much.

Nearly perfect, very powerful especially coming from the the steam deck. Takes a little tweaking to setup. SD card reader has issues, but it doesn't matter since I upgraded the internal SSD. The screen is amazing and VRR is a must have now

Nice job on this handheld gaming system, smooth graphics speed and controls. It's a mix of gaming and a mini PC. Gets a bit warm during some games you play.

Plays diablo 4 with ease! Maintains 50-60 fps at medium setting while plugged and running on turbo. Also you can use it as a personal heater lol this unit can put off some heat!! Fans a pretty quiet though

Excellent handheld. I love it being a full Windows PC as well, makes it very easy to manage. I've had no issues with mine. And now I can play Diablo 4 anywhere instead of being stuck at a computer desk. Graphics and performance are great, screen is very crisp and bright.

It's a generally fun unit to use. Just be ready for it to not make sense 70% of your first 700 initial uses. Especially if you have kids whom you've used your personal email to set up gaming accounts on other devices to ensure they have access to gameplay. You may find yourself with a brand new unit ( second one cause the first one straight up overheated at the first startup) that is linked to your kids account and you have no idea how to remove it. When you finally do....there's still a lot to do. Then you find out it really doesn't link to PS5 games which.....cmon. But you can download Steam and EA among other things. But you never had plans to do that. So you do. Hey! Fallout: New Vegas??? Ok, I'm in.

Good little product, been using it more than my pc lately. Only complaint is the battery life, but the battery life is expected for a device like this one

If your looking for a moblie pc set up and dont mind a shorter battery life its perfect. Storage is abit on the smaller end and the SD card issue complicates that abit more.

Can play most games nicely but has some draw backs on those really pretty games. Early on my sdcard port was fried due to heating issue but I hear they’ve resolve that: wouldn’t know cuz my port is fried.

Absolutely love having a portable pc this small. It’s great for gaming but also great for almost anything else you’d want to do on a PC. Word processing, video editing (best with mouse and bigger monitor but still works in a pinch), and so much more. Highly recommend! My only complaint is that the controller is lopsided. Wish the sticks were parallel and not one higher up on the controller. It’s not comfortable for me but I know a lot of people don’t care either controller layout.
