Product works great with most games. New buyers should understand that this is not an ultra pc or gaming laptop. It runs most games effectively however some games require and external mouse and keyboard. The games with higher graphics also will probably on get about 20-30 FPS on this device. However this system is everything I was looking for in terms of the games I play on it.

I really wanted to like the rog Ally. I've had it for just over two weeks, luckily I'm still eligible for a return, so I'm going to pursue that return. Hour plus setup process to begin okay I was okay with that it's just a Windows computer... But in the proceeding weeks of using it I've had crashes, I've had my micro SD card be destroyed by it. The card literally is dead will not be read in any other computer. There's the firmware issues, the horrible battery life even on 10 watts I found on some lower powered games I still get maybe an hour at most I can literally watch it count down almost with the seconds. I really wanted to like this as I said but I feel like it's a beta that got released to the public possibly even an alpha product. I like Asus I have an Asus gaming laptop and it works great. But unfortunately the April 1st announcement date of this almost feels like it's fulfilling itself.

I bought this for my girlfriend last month <3. She was asking for it for months (she’s a technology/gamer girl) & I was finally able to get it for her & her reaction was so cute!!! It looks super cool, the lights are sick & the travel case is really flattering. She legit takes it everywhere. My best gift for sure!

After owning and playing it for a week i have decided its the perfect power for the price it blows the steam deck away by 5x.

Love the thought process overall of the device, and well executed. The only issue is the battery life. I am still using it for both work and entertainment, regardless of me having to charge it if i play “Cyberpunk 2077” or “Baldur’s Gate 3”. Good battery life if you are playing older gen games like “Persona 5” or “Final Fantasy XV”.

Definitely a gaming beast......if you know what you're doing. This is not a out of the box plug and play device. It requires a hefty initial set up. After that tinkering and getting games to run how you want will still require tweaking and testing. If you're familiar with windows and such you will have a blast if you have patience. I love this device, I'm sure Asus will hash out whatever issues arise/exist.

The Ally is an amazing handheld, You can play Xbox games, Steam, and more. With Windows as the operating system the possibilities are endless. The display is the best ive ever seen, probably the biggest improvement over the Steam Deck. Unfortunately, the battery life is horrendous. 2-3 hours at most with most games.

Like the title says, not bad for an open box special. The only main concerns that I have is that: 1. It seems to go a bit slow every now and then 2. The SD card doesn't always read, but reads fine in my laptop. Leading me to believe that it is a problem with the Ally, not the SD card Other than those two problems, my daughter and I love it

Don't expect it to be a full fledge pc. You will need to tweak it to your desired playstyle. This can play most games, but at a cost of FPS or image quality. Now it's a small screen, which makes up for the fact that low resolutions won't be as noticeable. If you love to tweak things and game on the go, then this device is perfect. It will complement your gaming pc Thanks to cloud saves you can pick from where you left on your pc or vice versa.

It is definitely a powerful portable, and can run AAA games pretty well on medium settings. Screen looks great, but the controls are subpar compared to a steam deck. The overlay for choosing games is also an afterthought at best, as you get kicked out into normal windows A LOT, so you never forget thisnis a windows machine.

It is what it says. The battery life is the worst thing about this. other than that it ran Fortnite, apex, and rainbow very well with fps. a good nightstand to watch Netflix or YouTube. not portable though due to battery life. the joystick trigger dead zone are terrible as well.

Powerful enough to run the newest games out (within spec and reason ofc) and portable?! No brainer!

The product is great if it can fix the sdcard issue. I have played for several hours after which the sdcard first fails then it breaks the motherboard. I like the performance upto that point. All the major games I play, were working great. The controller position is also perfect.

This is my second time purchasing the ROG and my kids and husband absolutely love it! It’s super fast and reliable. Graphics are outstanding and gaming is smooth! 10 out of 10 would recommend. Definitely worth every penny!

This product works well and is amazing for those traveling. If you have more demanding games, it does sadly need to be plugged in.

10/10. This thing does everything i wanted out of it. I can play Fortnite 120FPS easily and it looks beautiful doing it! I thought i would only be using Turbo Mode all the time plugged in but was so surprised to find that i can play in Performance Mode! Doing so gives the Ally about 2 hours and 20min of Fortnite gameplay which is amazing. Same goes for Overwatch. I play using my bluetooth Xbox Controller and latency is amazing as expected. Very very happy with my purchase and in love with the Ally!!

I love this thing. The performance on games is incredible when you mostly play AAA games. Its light, it feels good in the hands. But the left stick stopped working and would not move up and down which apparently is a known issue with these. Had to return it and there was no longer a sale. Will be waiting for a bigger sale to occur.

This is a powerful device that plays most AAA games well. If you're not a PC gamer, it's going to take research and patience to get this thing tweaked to how you like it. If you're not a Windows user period, you're going to have a very tough time. Once you come to terms with both of those, the use case and performance of this thing is incredible. There's definitely some quality issues out there with so much plastic, but if you don't run into any quality control issues, this thing is a pleasure to use.

Overall it's been great for what it can do, but there's a big learning curve and a bit buggy. Docked mode is probably where I see most issues. It's only been out for a little over a month, so I see it getting better. Steam Deck was the same way in the beginning. Do I regret the purchase? Not at all. If anyone wants to get into an entry level windows machine, this is a good starting point.
