Love it good performance and amazing graphics ! This is my first expierence in the handheld such a good buy!

I bought the ally so I could play my games while traveling, but have quickly started playing most everything I can on it. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because asus doesn’t seem to be supporting it software side as well as valve did for the steam deck. That my change but as of now it has been a little bit and miss

This handheld is awesome. I know everyone keeps talking about the battery life on it, which is not long but it does everything I could ask for and more being a handheld. I bought it for the ability to travel and play on the go. You can’t look at it with it being a PC but rather a handheld gaming console. You’re able to play triple A games and even stream from it. It continues to amaze me with its possibilities.

Expectations met love being able to game anywhere. Only downside for me is battery life.

Just buy it. It's nice to be able play all my PC games on the Ally...it works well battery life at max performance is about 2 hrs. Don't use the SD card reader as it overheats potentially. Planning on upgrading the m.2 2230 SSD to 2tb and performing a battery mod.

I love it serves my purposes well. Like having a handled laptop. Only issue is battery life but gaming laptops batteries are most as bad. The Ally has multiple different battery saving options. I would recommend it over any the steam deck, msi, or the Lenovo version.

For a portable handheld gaming windows experience this is a great option but be prepared to charge this device regularly. It basically has the same battery as the steam deck but with a “better” CPU and screen. However, the better hardware taxes the battery.

My feelings are complicated. On the one hand, graphically it is FAR superior to the steam deck. I had a GTX 1080 on my pc and 12 gigs of RAM, and the steam deck ran better for some games, worse for several. The Ally, especially plugged in, blows both out of the water HOWEVER Set up can be a pain. Switcing apps can be a nightmare It's essentially a laptop with no keyboard, and the onscreen keyboard can be a battle. It restarted or had to be restarted a dozen times when i was setting it up it seems to have forgotten the SD card was there, as others have said it really, REALLY wants me to put powerpoint and excel on the device, since its basically a laptop like i said constantly, pop up windows- especially when buying something on steam- seem to confuse both the touch screen and the "mouse", and i am constantly selecting the window under it basically i buy games from the steam website on my phone, then download via the ally its great for portable plays, looks good on my TV, but it really needs a better interface that stops bombarding me with PowerPoint and MS Word notifications when i am trying to play a game

Not a bad product. It is my first handheld and yet I seem to be using my console and gaming pc more. The comfort is not what I like the most. Also it needs more memory for sure to make it a good product. But it does play games well when they work. Been hearing about all kinds of problems it so far I haven’t experienced any.

Absolutely love my Ally. The ability to play games, and stream via cloud on the go is perfect. Then add having the full abilities of a laptop as well!! Highly recommend the ally.

I take it with me every time I travel or go on a business trip. I can just take it out and play games whenever I want. I love it so much.

I wish the battery lasted longer but overall an amazing system. The grafix are awesome!!!

The best hand held gaming system! Absolutely love this for gaming. I have both an Xbox and PS5 but since I got this I stopped playing those. BUT the new Asus ROG ALLY X is coming out in JULY 2024 so if you are reading this please take that in consideration. The new one has way better specs.

I didn’t have high expectations for this unit at all. I am used to using an Alienware m17. Since I use a cross between steam and Xbox ecosystems this was a good portable option to utilize the subscriptions and purchase I already utilize. I played with it for about a week left it on the charger downloading mw3 by the time I got back I got a no boot error. ( I was using a SD card as well). I was not happy. Thankfully I am a stickler for the latest updates. The bios upgrade included cloud restore. I was able to still see the drive so I wiped the system logged on the cloud restore which if you ever had to wipe a system before is a pain this made it very easy. No usb boot drive needed. Since then no issue works like a dream. The customization options are good and getting better with each update. I have been using it more and more over the Xbox and the m17.

Good price point for performance. Limited with ports, but makes up for it in portability.

The best thing I ever buy so easily to use and very fast

Its quite versatile. You wont have to lug around a laptop on the go if youre strictly playing games on it. But you can purchase a seperate small monitor, if needed, for other computer related tasks. Only complaint is it takes a little bit to update the entire thing between asus updates and windows updates.
