Xbox gamer here. This thing is absolutely amazing. It’ll play everything. I wanted something to bridge the gap of non Xbox game but with the pick-up and play convenience of an Xbox. This is it. Takes awhile to set up. Took me 2 weeks to get all the emulation how I wanted it. But PC games, those take maybe 5 minutes of messing with graphical setting to get it to run the way you want. I love this thing.

It has some corks but overall works great for a mobile gaming experience. Don’t expect a desktop experience but works great as a mid tier console and since the screen is smaller you can run games at a lower setting without noticing a huge drop off in quality.

This is an excellent OEM Windows handheld computer. This isn't like a Switch that you can just turn on and get playing right away. Thinking of it more like a portable gaming computer would be better, since it requires all of the Windows stuff (to include a ton of updates on 1st use through 3 different updaters). Otherwise, it runs great, playing any PC game I want on the go or on the couch.

Arguably one of the best pc handhelds on the market. Despite the battery life, it's been great with gaming and is now my home pc when connected to the ROG charger.

I love my Rog Alley. Unfortunately it needed a repair from a bad motherboard and software update but since I got it back it works like a champ! It syncs to my surface book 2 which is a plus for pictures music etc, Xbox for cloud games and downloads. Lightweight and easier to handle than some of the other handhelds I tried. Great purchase for me!!

good windows machine, performs as expected. Mobile access to ffxiv is always good, and helps clear the PC backlog I’ve amassed. ffxiv works good on 15w and thats the most AAA game I’ve got for pc so I dont have many battery problems. Still lets me access my art tools too with mouse and keyboard / dock compatability.

The ASUS ROG Ally is a complete package with Win OS. Pros include ability to use multiple gaming services; form factor is comfortable to hold; and keeps up with high frame rate. Cons include gets hot near SD card insert; new BIOS update has slowed down performance. Overall, a great portable gaming machine.

Great Handheld. My son loves it. It does lock up from time to time and also runs really hot, but overall, great product. We did upgrade the memory and while costly, makes the operation much smoother.

Excellent system, perfect middle ground handheld along the Asus lineup. Competitive as a handheld and is capable for my use case practically as a great hardware mobile computer with Windows/Virtualization.

I bought it for my husband that travels a lot. He loved it!!! The only bad thing is that it heats up in your hand very quickly specially on games with high graphics. Remedy for this is to buy an xbox remote or ROG remote so you can leave the ROG in a nice cool place. You can connect to TV and the graphics are amazing.Don't forget to get an SD card.

It's a handheld computer. It really carries a lot of form from the steam deck but it has windows for better or for worse. I've been playing everything from persona 5 through game pass to halo reach, destiny 2 and even a bit of civilization. Battery life is awesome and the turbo mode makes all games run smoothly. Seriously get this if you're mobile and can't alway pill out the entire laptop.

Excellent handheld PC. I typically don't have to download the games but play through the cloud of Xbox Live. It actually saves battery playing that way and runs at a consistent 60 frames. Poor battery life though.

Only issue is heat control gets way too hot quick. Definitely upgrade fans first thing

I have both an ROG Ally and a Steam Deck. I’ve noticed ROG has better visuals for the most part. I play Starfield with no issue. I haven’t found an easier way to download updates - I had to visit ASUS website to take full advantage of the device versus Steam Deck which is more streamlined.

Really like the ASUS ROG ALLY but ( big but) I was not able to completely use it and see how really behaves. I work 40 hrs per week and gaming is one of my hobbies, I have the Steam Deck and has been very good and I was very interested on the ALLY to see the differences between the two handhelds. The easy interface and easy to use trophy goes to the Steam Deck but the versatility of the ALLY makes it very tempting. However, I was able just to play a couple of games on the ALLY and due work and family the TWO WEEKS that Best Buy gives you to return items made my choice clear: not enough time to spend with the ALLY made me weary of its use and rather stick with the SD. However, if you don't have the SD, just pick the ally, is very good. I am afraid that the return policies that BB has ( if you are not taking the paywall to return items in 30 days) is going to put pressure on the buyers to get an item that unfortunately needs more than 14 days to make a decision. Sucks for ROG because I really like their products and the laptop that I am still using is a ROG.
