    Great Handheld Overall

I am giving this unit an overall of four stars. The reason why is because for its price, this handheld would benefit with a 1TB SSD instead of the 512 (Asus ROG Flow X13/Z13 lines both come with 1 TB). It does get some getting to use to because not all games can be played with the controllers (I have had a hard time adjusting on Bus Sim 21). I have yet to try with an SD card (due to the heat issue), but I will do that soon. I would love to see this model increase the screen size such that there is almost no border top and bottom with stylus support (yep, no stylus), 16:10 screen ratio, 165Hz refresh rate, a second usb-c/thunderbolt port, and throw in some Front and/or Back cameras as well. All in all, works great, used it with my 2022 XG Mobile and runs fantastically!

Amazing screen and amazing performance. The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars are the bugs with Armory Crate and Windows 11. The hardware is impressive. I hope that Asus is in for the long haul for supporting this device.

Really killer screen. The controls are pretty good if not top tier. The only con is the pretty un-console like experience of Windows and that Armory Crate feels half baked. Definitely a step up from the Steam Deck power wise.

Not super friendly out of the box, but 10/10 overall. I don’t care about the battery life. 500gb is questionable. And useless top port

Personally, my experience with the Asus ROG Ally has been nothing short of fantastic. The Ryzen Z1 Extreme GPU and 16GB of RAM truly shine when it comes to playing RPGs like Diablo and Baldur's Gate. The graphics are stunning, and the 120Hz refresh rate adds a level of immersion that enhances my gaming sessions. While the Ally may require some technical know-how to optimize, investing the necessary time for setup is truly rewarding. Once fine-tuned, this handheld PC surpasses any other I've tried, especially in the realm of RPGs. The extra effort in customization pays off, delivering a gaming experience that outshines competitors. The Asus ROG Ally's potential becomes evident when given the time and attention to tailor settings, making it a standout choice for gamers seeking unparalleled performance in a handheld device.

    Asus ROG Ally Rocks...

Rog Ally is definietly a game changer in handheld. I sold my steam deck to buy this one and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Windows is not perfect but Armory crate UI made is a lot easier along with preinstalled game pass and controller configuration. I mainly bought to play call of duty titles and it does better than Steam deck. You dont have to install third party softwares to configure controls and the performance is great. Another standout feature is the precise and responsive controls. The ASUS ROG Ally features high-quality mechanical switches that offer a satisfying tactile feedback with each keypress. Whether you're engaging in fast-paced FPS battles or executing complex combos in a fighting game, the keyboard's responsiveness ensures you never miss a beat.

Ive been playing with this handheld pc since the day it was release. So far its doing pretty awesome, just some minor issues like the battery life, internal storage limited but can be upgraded to 2 tb and some crashes but all in all this is way better than most handhelp pc out there.

I love this thing. It has exceded my expectations. I have a few tips for the first time boot. There are plenty of videos on Youtube you can look up if you're not sure what any of this means. I recommend you *at least* do the following before playing anything: Update Armoury Crate to latest version Update everything in MyAsus app Update Win 11 Uninstall all unwanted apps to debloat the system (all unuseful microsoft apps such as Office, Teams etc), i recommend to do it It manually or using Revo uninstaller. I personnally dont recommend any debloat software Disable all unneeded auto start apps at Windows start via the task manager (also games launchers if you want as it boots much faster) Disable core isolation

I live my Rog Ally ,dont get me wrong it is not without its flaws, but the pros far outweigh the cons. I have several AAA games loaded and several other games i just really like. I have Spider-man, miles Morale s, God of War, Midnight Suns, Outriders, Gears 5, Assassin's Creed, and more. Now my 1st one the SD card reader did fail, i dont keep an sd card in it unless im playing weaker games. Connecting it to my tv and using a controller is wicked cool too. The bios updates are making it better each time. I would tell anyone on the fence to get one, i definitely think its worth it.

The setup was easy and everything worked. Screen is beautiful. Controller works perfectly. Ran Diablo 4 at medium settings at a constant 60 fps at 15w TDP. Make sure to update drivers first to get this performance. Best handheld. I also used switch oled screen protector for now and it fits

This a good WIN11 gaming handheld compatible with most PC games. The only drawback is the short battery life away from AC power.

The Rog Ally is actually a really cool device that is held down by a lot of issues. For me the MicroSD card reader stopped working and looking online this may be due to heat and is a common issue. The device runs pretty hot the part you hold to play will be fine but the screen will almost feel like its going to burn you when playing high end games. There is something here in the future but right now I cannot recommend this device till they work out the hardware and software issues.

This handheld is amazing. After looking at the Lenovo Legion Go, the MSI Claw, and the SteamDeck, this is my choice. Absolutely great looking screen, decent battery life, comfortable, slim, and great speakers.

Honestly changed my life. I always wondered why people loved their Nintendo switches and I could never really get into it, but this has made me understand the appeal of handheld hybrid gaming. Is fantastic to play on its own and even better when you buy a third party dock to hook it up to your TV for a similar switch experience but with pc games.

It’s not a Nintendo switch but your granny is going to call it a Nintendo switch. This thing is dope. Look for a good deal and buy it. Spend the money you saved and add a few mods. There are mods for larger batteries, larger storage, back plates- which help with cooling and add bling. Also get rid of that gay windows OS and install Bazzite or SteamOS

I love this device, and I only have three negatives about it. one Im sure theyll fix soon and the other two I can fix myself. for one, my dlc through steam isn't being loaded into my games, I can play the base games just fine but for some reason even when I install the DLC manually they dont appear in game. the second is the battery, typical for a gaming laptop so buying a portable charger was expected. third is little-to-no accessories, there are some stuff that fit the ROG sure but I want custom tailored carrying cases and docks, on amazon the dock that people use for the steam deck have been confirmed not to support the ally on turbo and I hope to see someone manufacture some better toys for my beast of a mini computer.
