I have a gsming PC, nintendo switch and a ps5 but for some reason i keep going back to my Ally to play gsmes. My love for gaming has died down but i found love in it again with the Ally.

Also purchased a monitor and dock, installed Steam and have been playing away. This is my second purchase of this item-loved the first so much I purchased one for a friend.

The screen pops is holds an egde over the Steam Deck. Regrettably it is not quite as load and go as the SD is. Ms Games and Battlenet worked like a champ. I think in 6 or 8 months this will be an excellent alternative to the Steam Deck.

Great Handheld device

I play Baldur's Gate 3 on it with the highest graphics and it runs it perfect. I have also played many other games on it and have had no issue with the Alley. I got it on launch day and would highly recommend it to anyone.

That for me was the deal breaker. Paying $699+tax for a device that lasts less than 2hrs on a battery charge doesn't make this worth it. It's cool, and the idea is great, but even after running games at the lowest resolution which led to 30fps, it's just not worth it. COD MW2 spiked a lot performance-wise, and Diablo4 did alright. ROG has the right idea, but at this price point, I'd have liked it to have more than a supposed 2hr battery life which I never reached. Within 30-45mins of playing Diablo, I'd have to put it charging.

It plays most games at good frame rate and is a good device for people who want to play PC games but don’t like keyboard and mouse. It is comfortable and good for playing on the go.

Finally jumped on this when i saw it was on sale. It plays everything i throw at it. Of course, you have the adjust the graphics settings. However, due to the small screen size, games look excellent on medium/low settings. Highly recommend.

DON"T PUT AN SD CARD INSIDE. PLEASE JUST REPLACE THE SSD AS A WHOLE BECAUSE YOUR SD CARD WILL FRIED WITHIN A MONTH !

Leagues better than the Switch and more capable than the Steam Deck. Great for almost all games from Triple A to indy games. My only complaints are that the control sticks grind against the casing and that the A, B, X, Y face buttons feel loose and spongey.

ROG Ally is the best Windows Handheld

I love being ab le to run all my windows based installers like GOG and Battle.net to play almost everything I play on my desktop. Gamepass streaming gaming on this unit is incredible as well.

After Patches It’s Great!

I’ve owned it since launch and at first it was a little rough, but after a few patches the system is really stable! I’ve basically turned the ROG into a docked emulator computer. Works great! Plays everything from NES to Switch. I play this more than my Steam Deck!
