The Ally is comfortable for extended gaming sessions, and it is easy to install games and sync with steam. However, the battery life is insufficient for time frames greater than 1.5 hours of use.

This system is amazing, before this I was having to lug my heavy laptop all over the place to play my PC games. I love that I can just throw this in my bag, it’s so lightweight and easy to take anywhere. Controls are nice and ergonomically accessible.

Awesome device. It has it's hardware flaws but it is also very flexible being the closest thing to a native windows pc. Would recommend over steam deck initial release. But definitely no need to worry about performance.

The asus rog ally is a powerful computer capable of playing triple a games easily and thats just putting it mildly. If you want a machine that games well go for the ally you wont be disappointed.

This does everything I want and more! Plays all my favorite games like Destiny 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and even Call of Duty! Note: The controls need some getting used to but one you got it everything makes sense and you won’t have any issues.

Takes a while to get set up due to updates but after getting used to it, it’s been great. Was gonna rate 4 stars but I knocked a star down due to the current issue with SD cards I hear about.

This device has been blast.. i can play any games i want on couch...and whenevr i want wherever i want. I have kids so i just simply cant be around desktop all the time.. this device gave me the freedom i need. Love this

What an incredibly lucky purchase I made! This was my Christmas present to myself. As long as you are comfortable with a windows computer and you like playing games this will entertain the heck out of you!

To be fare Have asus gaming and Msi gaming computers a steamdeck along with the Switch. I can when the games and controls work. it's nice. Not everything available on Steam or Xbox live work without issues. Overall, I am glad this exists, but it needs more time to configure the games and a bit more tech-savvy consumers. Steam deck is much easier for finding compatibility in games. This is more trial and error. I have yet to configure these controls to work in some fps games. It's too early for me to rate this as a solid gaming handheld.

Doesn't overheat. A trully handheld pc. Battery is great. An all around great product.

Plays a lot of games very smoothly. A slight learning curve to navigating it, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Highly recommend if youre looking for a portable gaming device.

It’s a 4/5 I love like a 5/5, some games have issues running due to screen size and transferring files, but overall this is a portable Xbox pc game pass machine and that’s exactly what I wanted

I like it for being portable gaming pc. Can play all pc games and install programs. The downside is that you must manually adjust certain game to be playable on its built in controllers.

The Ally is fantastic for portable gaming and ran the games I wanted to play on it great. I am not a fan of the overall design as the Ally feels cheap coming from a big name brand.

A powerful handheld computer with a fanstastic display. Unfortunately, the battery was abysmally bad and my second unit has a bad joystic.

I am beyond happy that I picked up the ROG Ally. It seamlessly plays my steam and blizzard libraries and supports my day to day needs, as much as a computer can fulfill, of course. I was pretty skeptical but I'm definitely a fan!

Surprisingly good - needs a bit of effort to get setup perfect. (Enable hibernate mode in windows and assign it to the power button to make it work just like a switch). Great for those RPGs and other games I hadn't had time for.

Amazing handheld for the open box price that I paid, if you can find it below $400 open box it is an amazing get still.

I have had this device for a couple months now and it helps so much with being able to game while wither on the go or just in a different place. Set up was a breeze and i was able to start playing quickly. I highly recommend this device!
