It does whatever you want, you want AAA games? Change it to 720p or use the 900p mod thats looks just like 1080p but can run games faster. Ive had it since release and i love it.

I find the tinkering and setting up aspect more fun than actually playing games. I've had zero issues with my Ally outside of things dealing with software updates. If you're reading reviews on the Ally, just get it!

I really enjoyed my steamdeck, but i decided to try this out and fell in love. I was easily able to access my xbox and ps account without issue. All in all this is a fantastic handheld device!!

Was looking for a windows based handheld gaming console.. love the way it feels, easy to hold. The only draw back is the battery life. If you plan on playing for long periods make sure your plugged into an outlet or external battery.

I have one, I bought one for my daughter for her birthday and one for my husband for his birthday. You can do everything with this little handheld device that you can do with a desktop or laptop.

However, it is worth it to play PC games on a handheld device. Battery life is pretty terrible.

The screen is phenominal, and the unit performs well. The control scheme is a pain and armoury crate frequently has issues changing controller schemes. The sd card reader will go out on you eventually, and the unit is plagued with power issues. My unit lasted around 20 days before it refused to recognize any charger and power up. The RMA process is the worst I have experienced from a tech company so far, and I have dealt with just about all of them.

If you are experiencing stability and performance issues with the device, check if Windows, drivers, BIOS and games are up to date. Updates for the ROG Ally are posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_download/. Additionally, check if you are running the most current Armoury Crate utility software. The most current version is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/. While accessing cloud games or web applications, please ensure the device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will affect system stability and performance. Keeping the device always updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "MyASUS" utility software or application. I was a day one purchase, followed all the instructions via YouTube reviewers and never had an issue. I use this on the go and at home when the kids are watching the TV. Used with external monitor. Love it.

I got it to primarily take advantage of my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to play PC games portably. Set up was straight forward and I haven't used a Windows computer in the last 12 years.
