I've been using the ROG Ally for a few months, and it's become my go-to gaming device. The Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor handles demanding games with ease, and the 120Hz display makes everything look smooth. It's comfortable to hold, the battery life is decent, and the ability to connect to a TV or external monitor is a huge plus. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the ROG Ally and would highly recommend it to any PC gamer.

like all handhelds battery lacks longevity the asus rog ally is a very powerful gaming hand held so it makes sense the battery doesnt last long but is my only comolain about the whole thing i love the versatility being avke to play steam xbox epic it opens up the gaming catalogue available to you by ten fold checking your email surfing the web listening to music and waching videos ..truely amazing but buy a back up power bank

love it. it runs any game i throw at it. it’s gotten me back into gaming again. and it can be docked to w monitor to use as a full on PC

Feels premium despite being plastic. Buttons and sticks feel amazing. Screen is super bright and crisp. Dual fan system is quiet. Performance is amazing. Its almost like a handheld gaming laptop!

The ROG Ally is a pretty solid handheld that fits pretty well in my hands, while the steam deck is a bit unwieldy. Games run great once you get them running. I ran into an issue where gamepass games wouldn't run due to the windows clock being set to the wrong time. The set up itself could be too much if the person isn't tech smart. Once you go through the standard Windows setup, youll be greated to multiple updates. More advanced users might want to use PowerShell to remove some bloatware/ windows apps that aren't needed.

This device is an absolute workhorse. With this being said, I could not justify keeping the device and ended up returning it. I believe windows is the downfall of the device, not having a trackpad, made navigating windows a lot more difficult. For me, its not about having a device with the most performance as i have a beefy gaming pc already, which is why im going with the steam deck, because of the more affordable pricepoint. For someone that does not have a windows pc, I highly recommend this device its incredible.

Ever since I saw a tiny handheld PC running Windows 95 in a magazine as a kid, I have wanted a portable device with the flexibility of a PC and the gaming focused features of a console. The ROG Ally with the Z1 Extreme processor is exactly what I hoped it would be. The shortcomings are fairly minor. The biggest one is that you will want a keyboard and mouse ar some point. The battery life is limited, but it is manageable. The internal storage is limited, but it can be expanded. Probably my most unexpected use for the Ally is to use it to play PC indie games at 120 frames per second on my TV like a console.

Comes as a portable gaming system that runs all PC games bear in mind you have to tweet some of the game but it works wish it was more battery life but portable batteries have to do.

Great device for on the go gaming. As someone who works and has little time and energy to game on my pc setup after a long day, this device is a lifesaver. The only really downside for me is the battery capacity but since I mostly play at home or where there is a nearby outlet t plug in its not really a big problem.

Does exactly what I want it to. I wanted to play pc games while lounging on a sofa. It runs quiet and is powerful enough to play the games I want to play.

I wasn't sure if I was even going to keep this when I ordered it, but after setting it up and playing some games on it, I was sold. I love this little device. I mostly keep it hooked up to my LG C1 and play with an Xbox controller, but it's just as impressive handheld. I'm genuinely surprised at just how much power this little guy has, running most games at medium settings at 1080p, but even running some at high. I honestly play on my Ally more than I play on my PC at this point. Can't recommend it enough!

Think of it this way: The Steam Deck and Switch are automatic cars. The ROG Ally is a 6 Speed super sport car. The ROG Ally plays AAA games that look beautiful in your hand. The fact that it runs on Windows 11, some games require some minor tweaking and still run fantastic. It is also a retro gaming beast! I've tested retroarch, mame, yuzu, and others to just name a few and all ran flawlessly. You can get decent FPS from anything you currently throw at it. The screen is sharp, beautiful and visuals are stunning. Again I say. This is not just a console. It is a mini gaming computer. Some knowledge of Windows 11 is definitely needed.

This is the best gaming console I’ve ever had. Easy navigation and the buttons perfectly align with your fingers. The games run smoothly and the battery life is great.

This product is wonderful. From a gamer that likes to game freely no matter the circumstance, the ROG Ally is a must. The ROG Ally creates unlimited possibility. Full set-up, on-the-go, on the couch while watching a movie, on a camping trip, etc. The possibilities of gaming are limited only to your lifestyle & creativity.

Excellent size to power ratio. Can run up to latest AAA games, may be difficult to play newer games coming out. If you are somewhat tech savvy, tweaking setting can yield best results with latest games. Get on sale, best deal for powerful handheld gaming.

Only knock on this is battery life, but hopefully that is improved through updates in the future. Being able to have a handheld gaming PC to take anywhere is awesome.

Wow Wow Wow. This is the best travel companion I have. Full blown laptop power and plays steam games like Starfield at console frame rates. Just buy it already

This is very nice, great graphics but low batt life. Would recommend if you’re into less demanding games because battery life when running more demanding games seems to deteriorate quickly.

I still cant believe I own a ROG ALLY this machine is a fully capable handheld windows PC with higher gaming specs then a current gen series s console but is totally compatible with Xbox game pass & cloud gaming, from all the big names in cloud gaming to reto emulators all the way to the top AAA games out today on current gen consoles. I have to tell you like I tell my friends this handheld is a BEAST!!!

I collect handhelds and this is my favorite, powerful lite(for its size), runs cool, beautiful screen. Really happy with this handheld and how quickly it arrived at my home.
