I'm surprised at how great the ROG Ally plays games. The included 3 month game pass ultimate ensures you'll have games to play before you decide what games you'll want to spend money on. Battery life is a bit short depending on game but it charges pretty fast even while actively playing.

I've been using this every day since I got it, the only down side is the battery but I replaced mine with a bigger one so now it's perfect

The title says it all. If youre looking to play PC games on the go, than this is what you want. It can do everything the steam deck does and more. Battery life is kind of meh, but its a litteral laptop that lets you play PC games like its a switch.

excellent performance in all the games that I have tried from the steam store, gamepass and epic, both in portable mode and connected to a dock, the battery lasts about an hour but charges in half that time, the joysticks are not good for shooters but being a pc with windows 11 it has compatibility with xbox controllers

I enjoy the size, portability and premium feel of this handheld pc gaming device. Asus has continually been pushing updates out to improve the software experience. After returning the Legion Go due to the shoddy software, the Ally is a much better device for gaming on the go.

Love the Rog ally performance is sweet, dislike the minor bugs that affects the sd card to none usable and the bios update 3.19 is still bugged performance suffers. Stay with the bios 3.17. Better performance. ASUS is still supporting software updates.

Bought this as a gift. It’s great as long as you keep in mind that this is a tablet with a controller strapped to it. Runs games well but battery life is short off of charge.

As handhelds go I love it. I am an over the road truck driver and i play it every day. Graphics comparable to my newer xbox, great ergonomics, nice screen. I love it. Only conplaint is the low battery life but i play it plugged in 99 percent of the time so its no big deal.

The performance doesn't disappoint.Powered by a robust set of internals, games run smoothly with impressive graphics, demonstrating that ASUS didn't compromise power for portability. The display offers vivid colors and sharp details, ensuring that every in-game moment is captured with clarity.

The gaming console you wish was not windows based

Why not. From a deck user. The ally is the next best thing. It’s exactly what you expect. Which means. It’s rocket fast. It plays anything. The sound is top notch. The screen is gorgeous. But it’s windows. It’s not a switch or deck like super easy console. Requires knowledge of windows. Reddit will be your best friend

It’s loads of fun if you know where to set your expectations when getting into it. I’ve definitely heard about a lot of people returning since it isn’t as seamless as something like the Steam Deck. It has a much better screen and performance. It’s great once you’re in game, but getting there can be tricky pretty often.

A pleasant surprise, works really well, and plays all my games without any challenges so far with very high responsiveness in high detailed modes. Light weight so easy to hold and play for couple of hours. Pretty good first attempt for a handheld PC

Best part of this device is the screen. Super vibrant and contrast ratio is much better than my Steam Deck with a lot less backlight glow (though still wish it could have been OLED.) As far as power, this thing does magic for a handheld. Haven't had any issues running the games I want to play with decent framerates. My main issue is the ASUS software. Armory Crate is just really buggy. Often times in the quick menu, options will just completely freeze up and not work. I don't think the FPS limiter works at all. It makes doing any minor adjustments a bit of a pain. Hopefully, just like Valve, ASUS will continue to support this product with software updates to make it something truly special.

A tiny handheld computer. Able to play Steam and other PC games on the Ally. Fits my hands perfectly (female). Speakers are plenty loud enough. Screen is bright and clear. Never any lag or blur. External storage. Minimal setup. I prefer it over my son's Steam Deck. I think he might be jealous!

This is not a handheld gaming device. This is a powerful handheld device that plays games. With Windows 11 and Office 365 cloud sync, I leave my laptop on my desk grab this and I can work then game, game then work u get the picture. I work in IT security and use both Mac and Windows along with my tools these laptops makes my bag very heavy then the power brick for the gaming laptop easily over 25lbs. I grabbed this my backpack feels like air now. If you are a bit on the Geek Squad of things. (Shameless plug lol) I have a Doc that allows full 30 honestly this can take over as a daily driver. I render a video faster on the Ally than my Mac Book Pro. Crazy!!!
