Good but battery performance
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is amazing, runs all the games with little to no trouble, could work on the battery life but it’s first of its kind, looking forward to future models with improved battery performance

This device is awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this device. The only issue is the storage and battery. I upgraded the storage to a 2TB ssd and it’s amazing. When looking at this product please know this isn’t a console it’s a computer and for a handheld computer it’s truly amazing

A great handheld could be better though.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the product AAA games in the palm of my hands. They could have doubled the ram and had a better battery and larger storage option on purchase but all in all I love my ally

Best pc handheld
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ROG Ally is the best, i absolutely love it. I built my own pc around feb this year and eventually it stopped allowing me to play games, then the Ally came out and its amazing. The graphics is very nice, its fast. The battery dies fast but i usually keep it plugged in if im gaming.

If you have a steam deck youre still winning
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Rog Ally has alot of specs that look better on paper but when you are using the device the cons start to show. The steam deck is a much more comfortable device its very apparent when picking up one device and then the other. The rog just seems like looks was more focused on than the actual hand-fit of the device. Battery life on rog ally is terrible. Be prepared to always be plugged in. Could be due to windows. The steam deck is easily getting 50% more battery while gaming. Steam os is great and hopefully we can get it on ally soon. If you have a steam deck KEEP it and if you want a handheld go for steam deck as the rog ally is still a bit experimental. The steam deck is a more practical device at the moment also being a few hundred cheaper

Overall really great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the Ally is really cool. It plays game surprisingly well, and is super versatile being a windows pc. Just wish the battery was like 50% better, but it's still a great device.

Best handheld device on market
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pr order my ally on announcement day. Best handheld gaming rig by far. I do not own a steam deck, I did not like steams software (personal reasons) and they launched with terrible specs. I do own backbone and Cloud system. The Ally has solved many problems I’ve had over the years trying to get “mobile” PC gaming. ROG Ally is awesome. My two issues why not 5* as everyone else, battery life, however I knew going into and will be connected to a wall most of the time with my 9’ foot cable. Second, RAM. Why oh why ASUS did you not put 32gb or allow upgrade. 16gb too low for gaming and experience crashing due to other systems not having enough RAM. All in all, happy to see the bar set decently High, for other competitors.. give us more RAM and upgradable analog sticks.

Better than the steam deck.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The display is amazing. The speakers are loud and very clear. The OS is windows so don’t expect perfection since we’ll it’s windows OS. Battery life is so-so really depends what you’re playing. Also, if you put an sd card in it there’s a set up process so go to YouTube and find tutorials.

Amazing performance out of the box
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ally is amazing handheld device that can play variety of games on the go and keep them look amazing. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. Performance of this thing is crazy and its the only handheld device with vrr, which in my opinion is absolute must have.

Good not great
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extreme useful as a mobile computer and gaming system. It just runs a little too hot and doesnt hold charge long enough for me to give 5 stars.

The hand held king
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb gaming experience. Playing triple A games on the go is a blessing. I have a very busy schedule so the only way I can game sometimes is on a portable device. It’s more than worth the asking price. Phenomenal display, great refresh rate, armory crate is pretty awesome.

Works great
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need a hand or want a hand held this thing is a beast. Cyberpunk 2077 1080p on med settings and fsr balance, i get consistent 35-40fps. I can drop it to 720p and get around 55fps. If you tweak this right and run at 15w, it handles almost anything at playable frame rate.

Power in your hands
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device!! much more powerful than the steamdeck and loaded with features. Your entire Pc arsenal of games is at your hand. The biggest downside is the battery life but in all truth this feels more like a handheld laptop than a handheld console. Still, I would highly recommend.

After a two-month trial
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great device considering its size and it runs games well, but don't expect it to run every game; it will run most of them. So, as a portable device, I can say it's excellent. My advice to you guys is, if you have a small budget, invest in the X version because the RAM in this device isn't the best.

Pretty cool stuff, but.......
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Asus Ally is a interesting device with a great deal of potential. It a full windows 11 experience. Unfortunately it's stuck between being a hand held gaming device and a PC. The Ally doesn't know exactly what it wants to be. Playing the menus will give you better performance, and battery life. You really need to come at this as a PC first and a hand held second if you want the most out of this. You can't treat this as a Steam Deck because that is a different beast all together. You can approach it as a gaming device first and some people are forgetting that. My biggest complaint about the Ally is the battery is garbage. There is some other nuances with the device that can be fixed with firmware updates. Overall I've enjoyed my time with the Ally.

||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great hand held console. I was able to play the games that i like without my laptop that i usually use. Definitely can use a lot o the gaming apps as well to play your games from. Definitely recommend this console if you want to play your games on the move.

Superb handheld device.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty much runs everything I throw at it. I got it when it was on sale for 500$. Worth the purchase. Bought myself an 2230 2tb (130$) and a mod case (32$) (for extra cooling). The battery is the only issue, before you know it you need to charge (time flies when you enjoy something). But with the extra $ I bought a power bank (60$) lol. Almost the price of the ally x in total but... I got double the storage (of Ally x 1 TB) and much faster speed plus I can connect other things with my new power bank. I'd wait for the sale or go straight ally x if this one is not on sale.

Will destroy micro sd cards
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It will cook micro sd cards, making so they may get stuck in the console or melt in the console. Game play wise hasn't said no to any game i have played on it.
