This little powerhouse is an excellent gaming computer in the palm of your hand. Extremely portable and fairly easy to use. Highly recommend!

Super solid piece of hardware. Runs great. Quite and cool. Wish battery life was better but what can you expect. Plastic also feels a little cheap, but hasnt caused any issues.

It's really good, the only thing I don't give 5 stars is the battery that runs out really fast, but plugged to a good power bank it just runs perfect

I thought I'd fall in love with the ROG Ally, but it was a complicated, one-sided relationship at times. I tried to reach out, but communication just wasn't there. Difficult to understand, unwilling to negotiate, doesn't look me in the eyes anymore. But that's okay, because now I'm setting my sights on other handhelds, and the Ally will see what it's missing. A handheld that understands me and meets me at my level of intellect (it was honestly just too complicated for me)

I returned my Steam Deck. The idea of a handheld gaming PC is a great one, but Valve’s offering really just does not have the horsepower to make good on that proposition. While it still has a lot of compromises and unstable performance, the ROG Ally has given me an experience that has been more in line with what I was led to expect on the Steam Deck. Windows hasn’t been an issue after setting the sleep button to Hibernate, as the Big Picture feature of Steam has essentially always been a SteamOS emulator. In summary, this product is what the Steam Deck advertises itself as, and unlike the Steam Deck itself, nothing less.

While I did rate this product “Average”, I do think it’s a cool device. But currently, windows handhelds have a lot of room for improvement. Mainly in the battery department. The screen is good and the speakers sound nice. A major downside of this device is the horribly joystick dead zone. This is not a good device for shooters. IMO, the Ally is the best PC handheld but the concept needs time to mature

I love the ROG Ally!! Being able to seamlessly use and play all of my game pass games while not having to look for a workaround like on the deck has greatly improved my experience. The build quality and feel is also great big thumbs up.

Definitely worth the purchase! Needed something mobile that wasn’t a pain to whip out and play, this does the job perfectly and runs just about anything I’d want to play.

This thing is great! Generally getting 60-70fps on medium settings for most games. Have played Halo Infinite, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Need For Speed, and a few others with great results. Depending on the wattage you’re using, the battery life can be pretty short (I’ve been seeing just under 2 hour times), but the 65w charger gets this thing fully charged in 60-90 minutes. Important to update the drivers manually from the Asus website (Armory Crate doesn’t find everything for some reason), but once that’s done, this thing hums. I cloned and replaced the factory ssd with a 2tb ssd to make more space for games without needing to mess with micro sd cards. It was a super easy swap. Love how repairable this thing is! Overall, would recommend.

[Employee of bestbuy] I love it so far, i enjoy every si gle AAA game ive played on the rog ally, other than having problems with the R button on one of a few games. The battery is a big problem for me on this one, i also own the steam deck and the battery is better personally. But on this part on the rog ally j love the fact that i dont need 3rd party software to play certain games. But ither than that i love it, in my humble opinion it needs more time and updates, as of now and sadly i am hoping for a powerbank to give me a little bit of extra juice. Ps:materials do feel a little bit to cheap, analog sticks,buttons and shell.

An amazing device, I could play any game from any launcher and it was gorgeous. However, the display stopped working and I fear the RMA process. The device is only worth the gamble if you don’t mind the price. Pros: lightweight, ergonomic, highest-class performance Cons: drains battery, could fry SD cards, unfixable when design flaws show up (and replacements aren’t guaranteed to be better)

It’s perfect just perfect it has some of the best performance it’s definitely better than the steam deck Is it worth $700 it’s complicated because you are getting 2x the performance and a better screen so for me it’s worth every penny.

It's pretty impressive how well it runs some of the more demanding games when plugged in. Battey life and game performance drop quite a bit when unplugged. I returned the system after 10 days. My memory card stopped working and my joystick started drift a lot. Great idea and if they fix some of the issues I may get one again but I did not feel like helping Asus work or the bugs.
