I like to use it to play some steam games, you can lie down to play, play while waiting, and can also connect to the TV, watching movies and playing games are very good.

Love the versatility of it this device, can game in so many ways, wish there was more storage and a bit better battery life, my only cons

Hands down the best handheld ive had in my hands! Performance is next to flawless on just about anything ive thrown at it. Runnin just about every game ive played at 100-130FPS without any problems. Dont let bad reviews from reveiwers that obviously dont know how to use a computer lead you away from this! First thing you should do is hop into the AMD settings software and tweak settings to your liking and boom. this thing becomes a major powerhouse! have had ZERO issues with over heating, zero issues playing any game i could possibly want. Dont hesitate, snag one!

Great device, runs well, only issue was buying it used. It was already registered under a separate account so I was unable to access all the features of the device. It also has an unexplainable issue where out of nowhere the right analog stick won’t register left and right movement, only up and down. Overall however, it is an excellent gaming handheld.

Much more difficult to use than the Steam Deck due to this running Windows 11. If you can get over the inconvenience of trying to run Windows 11 on a handheld device with no keyboard or mouse and on a very small screen, then yes you can do more than a Steam Deck. Other than that, the Steam Deck OLED has much better battery life, is easier to use, and doesn't require a TON of updates out of the box. Asus' Armoury Crate software is NOT designed for this machine, and I had to factory reset the device twice while trying to get the necessary firmware updates installed due to the software crashing mid-update. Also, any device manufactured in 2023 is likely to suffer joystick issues, so buyer-beware as Asus says they will cover it but has been known to deny coverage if you even opened the device to, say, install more storage. Oh, and don't forget about the SD card slot issues with it being right next to the fan exhaust!

I know there have been a ton of people claim defects and issues since day one, and this is my own personal experience, but i haven't had a single issue you yet** knock on wood*. There is a bit of setup that has a learning curve for anyone not firmliar with windows OS, but being a "PC Gamer" im not shy to jumping right into it. There have been no issues with the sdcard reader (I'm using a samsung pro plus), my entire steam library, epic games and gog with a copious amount of roms on it all run smooth. I have no regrets and have no intention of returning my unit.

Perfect handheld gaming machine. I have it with me everywhere. Powerful and portable. But you sure need to bring powerbank and you can enjoy your games whenever you go.

Very power efficient and great for handheld games like slay the spire. Can even run modern AAA games at lower settings.

I have wanted the steam deck for awhile and then followed the ROG ally news. This thing is a beast, its powerful, its mostly quiet, it doesn't run super hot, its comfortable to hold. Runnings full windows to some is a negative but the interface works very well when using the asus software. Battery life is about what you would expect running a portable PC. Diablo 4 for 1.5 hours took me from 100% to 54% (so approximately 3 hours) the charger though gets this thing topped off rather quickly. Oberall my experience has been super positive. Negative reviews seem to be based off the company vs the product. If you want a portable PC this thing is the way to go, the specs alone will make this thing relevant for years.

Blows my steam deck out of the water. As long as you treat it as a PC, as far as installing all updates, it has been absolutely wonderful. I'm okay with a 1.5 hours battery due to the performance I get.

Other the the sd card slot being an issue, which i knew about ahead of time, i love this device. Plays anything i throw at it and feels great when holding.

This device Is amazing for the price I got it for my only complain about it, is the short battery life but it's not the biggest deal. Id recommend this device to anyone who just wants to lounge around the house

Love gaming on my ROG Ally. I wish the battery lasted longer. But aside from that, I definitely recommend for on the go gaming.

Love the device - it is not as powerful as a PC - want to stress this!! It runs alot of games great if you run them on lower settings!! Dont expext to run graphic intesive games with out some lag but overall i live it ran Spiderman Series was a blast, rum APEX no priblem awesome device!!

Title says it all. You couldnt ask for a better all around handheld. Unlike competitors, you dont have to be stuck with certain OS to run certain programs. This thing is windows 11 and has he flexibility of running different launchers, such as Steam, prime gamin, etc. Only issue I have is that it doesnt have much official accessories made for it yet and it does get hot after a prolonged gaming session with it. Would be easily solved if they could make a fan/cooler attachment like what they have available with their RoG phones

I only got this tonplay sims on the go and it did not disappoint.

Very nice handheld laptop. A few kinks I think they resolved with early bios updates. Battery life and overheating can be an issue if misused.

I've actually played with it more than my steamdeck, Aya neo and Aya neo air combined. Just the feel and comfort also with its lightweight nature and the ease of tdp controls, controller settings, brightness with the reach of my thumb is very convenient, making my gaming experience a whole lot easier. I started with the Aya Neo 2 years ago so my personal experience with the battery compared to Ally is very acceptable. We are still years away in having the technology for battery optimization. Ppl should stop complaining about battery life. It doesn't even get that hot, if anything my Aya neo and Aya neo air runs a lot hotter and the heat dissipation is actually not bad. Please read manual before use.
