This is a great portable pc gaming machine. Plays all my compatible Xbox and pc games. The only issue is the battery life is a bit short.

I bought the base ROG Ally last year when it was on sale and I enjoyed it a lot. Decided to get the Z1E and it is insanely better! I gave the base ROG Ally to my son and he has been enjoying Balatro on it. HIGHLY recommend the Z1E

This is a really great item to get if you are always on the move wanting to game. Downside is the battery doesn’t last very long.

Picked this up on a recent sale. Absolutely one of the best choices I have made. It can play most of my pc games with ease and it's so convenient. Upgrading the SSD was easy, and adding a USB C dock, wireless keyboard/mouse made gaming from my bed easy.

I really liked it as a portable gaming pc, issue was the battery length.

Great device that is really good for on the go. However the issue with that is the battery life is terrible!

This was great when I needed it, but not so much when it sat around. I bought this with the intent to step away from the desk more often, and for when I travel. Except I didn't use it as often as I'd like to, the battery life felt quite short, and the shape didn't fit my hands that well (big palms). I ended up returning it, but if you want a windows machine that can play games while on the go--this is a great option!

Works really well. Havent had any issues yet. Only complaint is battery life. I can get about an hour when playing diablo 4.

Since receiving the Rog Ally Z1 Extreme, I've had no problems with it. I have not tried using a SD card for installing more games as of yet, so I cannot rate the handheld when it comes to that, however the console high-end games perfectly, and I have had little to no issues. It truly is a great console/handheld computer and I'd highly recommend buying one. As a matter of fact, I've recommended it to a family member, and they intend on getting one, and he has recommended to a friend and they have already gotten one as well.

Works beautifully! I love this thing. Easy to play docked or handheld, has been able to handle every game I've thrown at it with no problem. Just works.

Fantastic handheld pc. It runs everything from steam to my game pass games as well as streaming my PlayStation games. I use it to play eso when I’m not near my desktop and it works great. The fans do get a tad loud but I’ve not experienced any overheating or other similar issues. It’s just great to be able to take a huge roster of games on the go. The docking station that you can get along with the Rog is also very handy. With being so portable it makes being able to dock the Ally to any tv or monitor a cinch.

Awesome gaming device with lots of customization but only downside is kind of short battery life, on GTA 5 battery barely last about an hour

The ROG Ally with Z1 extreme chip is phenomenal. I have tried multiple different handhelds this past year and the Ally takes the cake. I'm 6'4" 270lbs with fairly large hands so, without a case, the Ally does get slightly uncomfortable after an hour or so of gaming. Since pairing witht the Skull&Co. grip case, I've had absolutely no hand pain even after several hours. If you have larger hands, be sure to factor in about $25 more for a grip/shell and you won't regret it.

Runs pretty well, hooked it up to meta quest 3 and it ran all the vr steam games on medium ( still better then meta native games).. go with the x if you have the money.. the only egpu these work with are theirs and they expensive.. cost more then a regular gpu...

To be fair, the ROG Ally is a very good gaming handheld but after using for a few days I returned it and got a full refund (thank you Best Buy!). The system just didn't feel right and using Windows on such a small screen was unpleasant. But that was me so don't be dissuaded by my impressions. In many ways it's superior to the Steam Deck that I ultimately ended up buying.

Everything i could ask for in a handheld. Docked one star until they can fix the micro sd reader from not functioning

The Rog Ally is the beefiest handheld to date it can run most modern games on medium or low settings at a decent frame rate; however, the rogue shines most when playing older games at up to 120hz console classics being able to be emulated on windows 11, it really is a great machine, would’ve given it five stars but my Right Bumper doesn’t work, no fix yet, but I just remapped my bumpers to the macro keys so it still works great, just be weary of some hardware issues as well as some software

Love the machine and the graphics are amazing but the battery life leaves me wanting more.

This machine is absolutely awesome. Using it with Xbox gamepass, steam and to stream is absolutely great. The only draw back is the Micro SD slot functions it is horrible don’t even bother using it. Asus get rid of it and pass the savings onto the consumer. Stick to the memory it comes with or upgraded and you will be fine. The future is gaming in portable console. You won’t regret this purchase if your a beginner toward pc gaming. YouTube your questions and learn, the knowledge is worth it.
