Good device, though battery could be better along with heating

Good little handheld PC for playing games, setting up without using a Microsoft account isn’t too difficult. Armory Crate software seems pretty good for customizing controls and performance. Be wary of getting an open box product from Best Buy, my “excellent” one had a broken LB, don’t know how they missed that when checking it over.

Great system so far with and without its flaws been about a month and couple weeks and can say it’s great system for the money … not saying that it’s better in optimization then steam deck because steam deck is still a easier and better experience when playing games. ROG ally is better performance the steam deck but still needs couple updates to make system run great and as flawless as steam deck … I would definitely pick one up if you haven’t yet …

Such a good gaming handheld satifies all of my pc gaming needs. Super quick easy to carry definitely a good Christmas gift!

When I initially got it I was underwhelmed because I only had games that had no controller support but once it got a few games with that support I've been having a blast with it, it very powerful for how small it is I play cyberpunk that's heavily modded and get 40-50 fps. I have been using this way more than I have my laptop and it's a plus that it runs on Windows so you can leave your laptop behind and use this the only downside is the amount of storage but that can be fixed easily.

I bought this handheld for my birthday and I think its decent, but after a software update from ASUS there has been a pretty annoying software bug. Whenever you use the Legacy Command Menu that was replaced by a new menu, and you open the menu to switch power options, it bugs the controls and switches between Desktop controls and Gamepad controls and it gets annoying when i'm unable to control my game. Second bug i have notice is when I play a game, at certain random intervals it would boot me to the home screen of Windows. This is only recommended at cheap prices or when on sale.

Great product overall from qaulity, feel, value, and performance. The first cons is the battery life is limited on most titles. Probably an hour max on higher end titles. Low resource games you can play for a long time. The second con is the user expierance is definitely for someone more technically inclined. Not as simple as a plug and play console but if you are looking at this device you probably are a more technically inclined person.

Incredible display, speakers, and very good performance. That's all great, but Asus decided against proper QC and now I'm one of many with a dead/malfunctioning SD card reader. Their communication with this has been relatively poor and I simply cannot recommend it until this is properly addressed.

Great system! Love that it’s windows based, makes getting all your games from steam, epic, gog, or whatever service you use very easy then bundles all those games into a one click away library. Decided to play cyberpunk over again using this system and it looks amazing, all while pushed my 40-50 fps. My biggest complaint is the WiFi card sucks!!! And after doing some research ppl are saying there’s some with better WiFi cards then others.. other then the WiFi I would give it a 8.5-10

Definitely a great purchase! Very portable but need to be by an outlet for charging if wanting to play for a long time!

When you're an esports player who goes out a lot, this is for you. But the battery life is not satisfactory. Performance can meet almost all games (60fps)

This ROG Alley is first gen Z1E so it has proprietary egpu port and only 16gb of ram. But all that aside it’s a solid device you can play many of you old school Steam favorites although it struggles on new AAA titles.

Very nice, playing a lot of games with no problems, just have to keep it plugged in while playing which isnt a big deal with some bigger games

This is my first handheld PC gaming experience and it has been a really solid one. I have been lucky and not had a single issue, but i am also worried that there might not be consistent support for the device. If you dont have the Steam deck, i would definitely pick-up the Ally as it feels cutting edge. If you want something reliable for now though, I would jump towards the steam deck. I want this to succeed, so hopefully we continue to get support!

Good product, however, many small issues trying to play PC games on a handheld device that is running windows and attempting to mimic a console.

I love it. Plays all windows games unlike the Steam Deck. Screen is great. Looks like an OLED even though it’s not.

Many choices out now but this one still caught my eye more than the rest. Controlls are good, but wouldn't play CoD on this. At least not competitively, single player games are great on this and mmorpgs too. Played D4 on this and it played it very well. Would I recommend this to buy? Kinda, if you have money burning your wallet go for it. If you want to buy one big purchase for gaming then wait for a big sale and get a gaming laptop. But if you really want a handheld pc then I would recommend this one.

Don't expect it to be a full fledge pc. You will need to tweak it to your desired playstyle. This can play most games, but at a cost of FPS or image quality. Now it's a small screen, which makes up for the fact that low resolutions won't be as noticeable. If you love to tweak things and game on the go, then this device is perfect. It will complement your gaming pc Thanks to cloud saves you can pick from where you left on your pc or vice versa.

The performance is great. Runs all AAA games but it has wndows so it comes with all the issues the system has.
