I love this but the only issue I’ve run into was the sd card reader going bad but I didn’t really need the extra space so that’s not a deal breaker for me anyways. Windows on handheld didn’t take long to get used to either.

It’s like playing my Xbox without having my Xbox. It plays games like a dream and the PC capabilities is a plus.

Other then sub par battery life im very impressed. I’ve hardly touched my Xbox since purchasing it. Asus did a good job on the software. Makes the windows 11 OS tolerable. I’d wait for the Ally X to come out unless this is way discounted.

Great console. Fun fast and updates are numerous. Light handheld and easy to navigate. Would definitely recommend.

It’s amazing for people who travel often and enjoy video games or movies etc. on their flights. Sound quality is great, it’s light and not strenuous on your hands/fingers. You can also get a case with a built in dock and connect your controller to it, connect it to a tv with no delays. I would highly recommend this to any gamer out there to travels.

A very good PC handheld and competitor to the Steam Deck. The fact that it runs Windows 11 is a major plus to many. Some downsides include limited battery life depending on the title you're playing. And a clunky UI experience due to Armory Crate not being fully integrated into the system.

Great device, I really enjoy it. Perfect portable pc. Could pretty much play anything that supports controller

If it wasnt for all the windows stuff you have to do itll be highly recommended but its like having a tiny laptop that you really cant do much laptop stuff because its small.

Enjoy the unit so far however, purchased 2-3 months ago and the right stick is malfunctioning. Asus support is doing and RMA and it's all under warranty just a bit annoying. Will probably replace with hall effect joysticks later.

I honestly only give this a 4 because of its battery life. Everything about this device is great except for the battery life. It’s meant for hand held on the go gaming but if you’re playing a high end game you’re only getting an hour out of it. With settings tweaked I only got it to last at max two and a half hours for emulators.

Great system. Reason for my 3 stars is the one I got originally had a broken left trigger. And my friends system got a broken SD drive and actually corrupted his card and is a known issue. Overall great system compared to the steam deck, easier to play windows games like Diablo 4 and game pass as eell

Tiny and good performance. Very good sound. SD card not work is well-known. However, I did not know it is not reliable. I used it as my major PC at home with everything connected (monitor, keyboard, xBox controller) I am not a heavy gamer. Most of time I use for Youtube. After 7-month use, one day it was on than went to bios forever, I have no choice but reinstall Windows After 7.5-month use, it suddenly made a bad sound, shut down and restarted in front of me. It was not because of any windows updates. It is an excellent-open-box item. OK, 15-months from manufacturing day maximum. Still short...... Good for everyday use, but I am not happy on its issues.

Great device, very powerful, but the battery life isn't there yet. It's possible that the hardware and battery is adequate, but software isn't there yet. I didn't encounter the sd card burn issue, but it's obviously a teething problem that I hope they will overcome. The on screen keyboard is difficult to use if you ever want to use the ally for productivity.

Phenomenal. Asus once again shows it's the King of PC Gaming and manages to murder the Steam Deck with ease. Don't waste your time with Valve and SteamOS; this is a pocket gaming PC showing every bit of ASUS and AMD's power.

I'm very happy with my experience with this. I did have the issue with the SD card reader failing, but Asus was very easy to work with to have that repaired at no cost to me (I repurposed amazon packing materials to ship it in). One gripe is the battery life is not the best. Maybe 2 hours of play even at 15w setting, but a great experience nonetheless.

I have mixed feelings about this gaming handheld. The Rog Ally is a perfect option for PC gamers who don’t mind tinkering and tweaking. It’s not for everyone though, as the user experience frustrations caused by Windows might annoy some. The amount of adjustment you have to do to the settings to get games running nicely also make the Ally struggle for less technically savvy. Battery life is also not a good one, but fast charging helps Ally get back to works immediately.
