It feels well build, the controls are good, and the screen is great. My problem is that is needs a UI. Windows on a tiby screen is annoying. I ended up returning it for that reason.

I can play cod warzone 2 in handheld mode now. Setting the system up was frustrating, and people have issue with the hardware (check the rogally reddit).My exeperience as a warzone player has been blissful though.

The VRR screen feels like a neccesity on these and none of the 7840U options have it. The only problem is battery life. The battery life is terrible.

Better resolution, refresh rate, wider game compatibility. Expect about a couple of hours to update and get everything set up the way you like it. I've tested this with the XG mobile with a 3080 (overkill, I know). This machine is versatile and can work as a desktop replacement. With ASUS constantly working on updates and bug fixes expect this to be your travel gaming system for a long time.

However, the most important thing, battery life is quite short on this device. Short enough that it wouldn’t really work that well for handheld-heavy moments where you do not have the freedom to be plugged in to the power. I hope the ally 2 gets a massive increase in battery life.

Once you get use to running games through the Asus User Interface games run better as it allows for more options. I purchased with the intent of no longer needing to pack a gaming laptop on trips and so far it hasnt let me down. Specially when coupled with a USB-C dock to add a mouse and keyboard. Turns it from a handheld gaming PC to a true PC

Design: 4/5; its a beautiful device and love the button placement on the front, however, the buttons on the back are a bit awkward and can be accidentally hit. Ergonomics: 2/5; This is where the disappointment begins, I saw that ROG went through multiple different molds to find the best one and the grips on this device do not stick out enough to make it comfortable. Don't get me wrong, its light in the hands but holding for long periods of time just does not feel comfortable Software: a few issues that degraded performance after bios updates but it will be fixed overtime so I'm not going to rate this portion BUT there are some issues. Overall, its a step in the right direction but not the flawless execution that many waited around for and was expecting. This would be a 5/5 if the grips were done correct.

Playing AAA titles on a handheld with good graphics and framerate. There are some things you should think about before purchasing. If you're not willing to go through some of the optimization of games you might have a rough time trying to figure it out the first time. Street fighter is a good example of this. Hope this helps!

Had issues with SD card working properly. Battery also wasn't great. If I'm going to have to keep it plugged in, I might as well use my gaming desktop. I believe after a few updates, this could be a great device.

Worth it!!

And its been surprisingly a very good experience so far! I had a few hiccups when i was doing the out of box setup with windows and the fingerprint scanner being weird but other than that its a very strong handheld pc!

Love how easy it is to upgrade the storage and overall i really like it enough to gifted my steam deck out ( wife made me ) since my wife got me this for my birthday extra accessories included with the birthday package ^_^d *yay*

It ran Cyberpunk 2070 near flawlessly. My only reason I say not for me is, I had it for almost 2 weeks~ish and I picked it up once or twice the whole time and that was just to check updates. If you like mobile gaming... you need this
