I love my Rog Alley. Unfortunately it needed a repair from a bad motherboard and software update but since I got it back it works like a champ! It syncs to my surface book 2 which is a plus for pictures music etc, Xbox for cloud games and downloads. Lightweight and easier to handle than some of the other handhelds I tried. Great purchase for me!!

Works great! Wish battery life was better but this shouldn't turn you away!

I have a high end PC but having a portable option that can play 80% of my steam library is unbeatable. The learning curve on how to optimize this for regular play can be a little unsettling. But once you learn how to adjust games graphics settings this becomes your regular gaming device.

I bought it for my husband that travels a lot. He loved it!!! The only bad thing is that it heats up in your hand very quickly specially on games with high graphics. Remedy for this is to buy an xbox remote or ROG remote so you can leave the ROG in a nice cool place. You can connect to TV and the graphics are amazing.Don't forget to get an SD card.

My feelings are complicated. On the one hand, graphically it is FAR superior to the steam deck. I had a GTX 1080 on my pc and 12 gigs of RAM, and the steam deck ran better for some games, worse for several. The Ally, especially plugged in, blows both out of the water HOWEVER Set up can be a pain. Switcing apps can be a nightmare It's essentially a laptop with no keyboard, and the onscreen keyboard can be a battle. It restarted or had to be restarted a dozen times when i was setting it up it seems to have forgotten the SD card was there, as others have said it really, REALLY wants me to put powerpoint and excel on the device, since its basically a laptop like i said constantly, pop up windows- especially when buying something on steam- seem to confuse both the touch screen and the "mouse", and i am constantly selecting the window under it basically i buy games from the steam website on my phone, then download via the ally its great for portable plays, looks good on my TV, but it really needs a better interface that stops bombarding me with PowerPoint and MS Word notifications when i am trying to play a game

I’m loving my ROG ally! It’s running games so smoothly! Some higher end games need tweaking but you can play them. Plus you have access to more stores than just Xbox and steam! Would recommend

I have both an ROG Ally and a Steam Deck. I’ve noticed ROG has better visuals for the most part. I play Starfield with no issue. I haven’t found an easier way to download updates - I had to visit ASUS website to take full advantage of the device versus Steam Deck which is more streamlined.

Absolutely love my Ally. The ability to play games, and stream via cloud on the go is perfect. Then add having the full abilities of a laptop as well!! Highly recommend the ally.

Really like the ASUS ROG ALLY but ( big but) I was not able to completely use it and see how really behaves. I work 40 hrs per week and gaming is one of my hobbies, I have the Steam Deck and has been very good and I was very interested on the ALLY to see the differences between the two handhelds. The easy interface and easy to use trophy goes to the Steam Deck but the versatility of the ALLY makes it very tempting. However, I was able just to play a couple of games on the ALLY and due work and family the TWO WEEKS that Best Buy gives you to return items made my choice clear: not enough time to spend with the ALLY made me weary of its use and rather stick with the SD. However, if you don't have the SD, just pick the ally, is very good. I am afraid that the return policies that BB has ( if you are not taking the paywall to return items in 30 days) is going to put pressure on the buyers to get an item that unfortunately needs more than 14 days to make a decision. Sucks for ROG because I really like their products and the laptop that I am still using is a ROG.

Love this little thing! The battery life for handheld doesn’t last very long, but I mostly use it hooked up to my TV. I recommend buying more storage space.

Love the device but it has issues card reader doesn’t work and left joystick won’t work left or right direction. Love the system but it is flawed.

Portability, features, ease of use. Good performance despite small size.

This is a great PC Handheld! Plays most of my library with ease, and has a lot of customizable options to work and tinker your games to what you want. Keep expectations in check though: This thing has a 120Hz refresh rate, but not every game will run at 120Hz max settings. It's a portable after all, don't expect monster level PC levels of performance here.

It’s good for playing. The battery is short but it’s ok you can use a power bank.

Excellent handheld PC. I typically don't have to download the games but play through the cloud of Xbox Live. It actually saves battery playing that way and runs at a consistent 60 frames. Poor battery life though.

This is a handheld PC, not a handheld game console. With that said it may not be for everyone. If you have a gaming PC then yuu are accustomed to the challenges that come with Windows. If your use to console your better off with a Steam Deck or Switch. This requires alot of uodates, tweaks, and patience. All of which i am familiar with.it is a power house of a system. Exceeded my expectations.

Great Handheld. My son loves it. It does lock up from time to time and also runs really hot, but overall, great product. We did upgrade the memory and while costly, makes the operation much smoother.
