Terrible customer service at Best Buy

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the rog ally on july 2nd 2025. 2 weeks later 2 days after my return period ended they lowered its price by 150 dollars. I called the store and they refused to do anything to make it right for me. Also my ROG has killed 2 SD cards alrdy with its SD car slot issue. Great machine besides the SD issue and I would recommend never shopping at Best Buy as they refuse to budge on 2 days beyond the return period to match there huge price reduction. I will be solely doing amazon going forward even tho i have a BBY CC. I will not be shopping at this horrible store with zero customer service

Storage is VERY limited and expanding it is almost as much ss the unit itself. Runs Very Hot too if sitting in lap. Returned. Good idea. Not readt yet.

Better display and more processing power for sure. A little sleeker as well. Comes with the quirks of a windows pc but that was expected. The deck was like a console but not powerful enough. Streamlined but not ready for as much heavy lifting.

While Windows can’t hold a candle to Steam OS when it comes to handhelds, what it lacks in usability and features it makes up for in compatibility. With Windows you can essentially run anything. The Ally has the horsepower to push past Windows deficits and makes for a great little gaming machine.

I can look past Armoury Crate bugs and the fact that Windows is not optimized for handheld devices (yet), but the lack of quality control concerns me. I exchanged my first one already due to RGB issues that may have been with the software, and I’m leaning towards exchanging my replacement because of the fans. Some coil whine I can tolerate, but the one I have now almost makes a different type of crackling noise. I would expect better quality for a $700 device.

Battery life is nowhere close to the steam deck and it also lacks the console like features of the steam deck. This will be an excellent devices if windows updates the OS to include a handheld gaming mode.

Does it give you 4k 60 FPS Untra settings on every game? No! Does it give you 1080p great framerates and good-great settings? ABSOLUTELY! THIS THING ROCKS!! I plopped in a 2TB m.2 NVME drive and have every game i could want on it! SERIOUSLY, this thing is awesome!! Buy it, you will not be dissapointed!!!!

But i do wish the battery could last a little longer. You get about a hour and a half of battery life before your desperatley needing to rush and plug it in. You can play with it plugged in but its not very convient when your traveling. Overall great product.
