It’s a pretty good device. Not all pc games will play but mostly all play wall like 90% of pc games run maybe more. As soon as you buy it I recommend a 25x25x10 heat sink just YouTube it and you’ll find it. I really don’t know much about pc’s but I can tell you it’s not hard use this device even with some pc knowledge.

I love this, as someone who doesn't have space to get a huge gaming PC yet, I enjoy the easiness of just setting everything up anywhere I am. Even if I'm in my living room or on the go. The fans never get too loud, I could hear it but its isn't annoying. Updating the rog is also very easy as well.

I went from a steam deck to this and I love it. It can play almost any game that I throw at it with reasonable expectations and frame rates. As long as you acknowledge what this system is and do not go in expecting it to change the world you will be more than satisfied. It is basically a small, lower end, portable gaming PC.

One of the best purchases I’ve made. The power of a gaming desktop, in a portable handheld. I can easily take on trips and put down if the toddler needs me. Plug it into a dock and you’ve got a legit gaming PC.

Very powerful. Running smooth mostly every AAA games.

If you know what you are getting into when you buy this, you will probably love it. If you are expecting a polished handheld console you have probably already returned it. I love this thing..

Window is the way to go for handheld IMO. This is a major leap for gamers and i would reccomend to any on the go gamer. Battery life could be better but buy the upgraded black one for that.

Amazing in almost every way. Only complaints are with my medium sized hands I sometimes touch the screen by accident when using the right joystick; and I did run into the widespread sd card reader failure although ASUS should repair at no charge.

I got this cause I am a truck driver and can't always been at the computer. So far it is awesome, my PC has been retired for about two weeks. It is running windows 11 so it takes a bit to set up out of the box. It is ok not plugged in, runs my games no problems. I still leave it plugged in almost treat it like a laptop.

Runs Starfield like a champ after a driver update. 2 hour or so battery life when running at full performance. Functions exactly as it should. I have not used the SD card reader, so I’m not personally aware of any issues with my unit.

Loving it so far, runs everything I throw at it, only issue is the software, sometimes things don’t work so I have to restart it. Nice, portable, if you create a custom profile, you can max it out and the two fans make it run at 60 degrees, nice and cool.

I was skeptical about after owning a steam deck and being dissapointed. But this is a whole other ballpark. I was able to play any of my games at reasonable settings and get respectable fps. I can completely recommend this without hesitation.

Coming from console gaming, this required a little setup and getting used to Windows, but it exceeded my expectations on user experience and performance. Steam, xbox gamepass all work great.

Overall great product, only a few hiccups here and there when first getting it set up for the first time, but after playing around and playing with settings, games run beautifully and very few issues (other than Bethesda magic) but system stability is great and I've been having a great experience with the device

Could be better it is better its awsome people and there reviews if you want a awsome system this is the one to get and also most people play it plugged in anyway so you are getting the most wattage do not listen to all of the other reviews they are garbbage.

Amazing device and saved another $100 or so by getting an open box version. The console was in excellent condition, just as advertised. Easy purchase and pick up options. Highly recommend for anyone looking to play AAA PC games on the couch or in bed without hogging the tv.

I bought this device about 6 months ago. I use it on my off days from work and I enjoyed it when i played. I am never rough on my devices, i buy cases, screen protectors, bumper protectors, etc. But this device is waaay to expensive for all the problems ive had. On day 1, something was already loose in the top left trigger and an audible rattle was present. Got that fixed. Then i decided to buy an SD card for the device and it worked great until the SD card reader stopped working and would no longer work. Figured it may have been a bios issue or a software issue. I updated the bios and got my ally working again, including the SD card reader. I then installed all my games and got my device ready for a trip. I played with the ally and all my games for several days leading up to my trip with zero issues. Then the day of my trip, my ally wouldnt turn on. I tried charging it, using the included charger and many different chargers and nothing happened. No power at all. I was reading on the asus forums and apparently, these issues are very common. They posted various tips and tricks to help get my ally back to life, including: holding the power button and all various button combos for 30 secs, nothing. I opened the back and disconnected the battery to let everything just, reset.. nothing. The device was completely dead for no reason at all. Its very infuriating that a device this expensive would have so many issues. Issues that shouldnt even be a problem, like the SD card reader not working?? How long have we had SD cards?? Lemme tell you, long enough to where issues like this should not happen. Then for the device to just be dead for no reason at all after me using it just hours before? C'mon. Its completely unacceptable. Luckily i got the 3 year warranty on the device. But im out 300$ for the warranty now. Waste of time and money. Ill be upgrading to either the oled steam deck or the lenovo go.
