Its a good product. I think it still has a lot to figure out especially the out of box setup. However, it will run anything you throw at it and with the new bios update it runs with maximum performace. I have never owned a steam deck but this is a great alternative in my opnion if you have the cash for it.

Great portable gaming device. Perfect for gaming on the go. Battery and storage are a small drawback but portable cloud gaming makes up for ant drawbacks.

Solid device however during use it can be difficult to use the keyboard. Overall worth it’s price tag if you’re looking for a small portable gaming device.

ROG Ally is indeed, my ALLY! This blows the Steam Deck out of the water with it's ease of being able to play any video game that can be played on PC. No learning curve if you're familiar with PC gaming. Use this every week while traveling and it's the best thing I've purchased!

It does the job when it comes to gaming. Also great for work too.

Amazing device!! Exceeded all expectations. The only gripe I have is the sd card reader. I really hope mine doesn’t fry my card. Gets very hot in that area, would recommend ssd upgrade over using sd cards!

I love this thing! The performance is great. I play games like RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. I also use it for emulation (including yuzu) which works wonderfully. The internal gyro is compatible with motion controls which is cool.

This is the first gaming system I’ve bought since the white xbox one sunset overdrive in 2014.. This is a great device. I feel like it has some software issues for sure that will be eventually worked out. Good to go.

Very nice handheld and can support bigger title games which was something I was looking for and also a plus how you can hook it up to a monitor!

I love this thing! Sure, you need to be plugged in to get the best performance out of it but i dont mind that if it means i can play RDR2 in my car or on the plane. Setting it up for the first time can be a bit cumbersome but once you get all the updates out of the way and set up windows you're good to go!

Excellent performance from a handheld but the fact that windows in hand held isn’t a fun experience. If Microsoft would make a handheld mode exclusively for the handhelds this device would be amazing instead of just great.

Runs fantastic. Playing modern games with decent fps and settings. Emulation is amazing.

Needs a lot of tinkering like a full on pc because it is a pc. Not a switch that's ready to play and a console like experience. Once set up tho it is amazing. Amazing graphics and framerates for what it is. Hoping to see 3rd party support like the switch and more optimizing from all of Asus, Windows, and AMD

I’ve loved the system so far. It has a couple of hiccups here and there but that’s to be expected with any new system. I’m able to run Diablo 4 on med settings at about 60-90 fps

[Employee of bestbuy] Versatile gaming system that is comfortable to hold on to. The playing ability is great to play a wide variety if games on Steam and Xbox. Would highly recommend this system for someone that wants to be able to game independently from a TV. Works great with my Bluetooth controller.

I have a love/hate relationship with this device. Up until the DAY AFTER my last day to return, I was really enjoying the Rog Ally. I work in IT and was well aware the updates, etc that needed to be done BEFORE using it. No issue with that at all...it is a handheld Windows PC. However, there is a clear issue with it using SD cards.If I leave my SD card in the device, the Ally performance cripples. Bear in mind, not everyone is experiencing this issue, but a number of people are. Asus is currently investigating the issue, but his is still very frustrating. I hope figures it out, but I believe Asus should have keptv the Ally "in the oven" longer.

It does pretty well for the games ive played and the size is just right for me. Refresh rate and resolution are good. The cons for me are all the different software Steam, xbox, and aura. They clash alot until you get everything the way you need it. It just takes time, which isnt bad, it's just annoying at first. The real no no for me was the issues with the triggers and bumpers. My right trigger won't calibrate now and only registers as half a pull and the bumpers stick sometimes. I did buy an open box so that could be why. The customer service was good though.

Surpassed my expectations highly recommended only issue is the battery but thats expected no real complaint
