Device runs amazing. There is some tweaking that is needed to make sure the VRAM is allocated right along with updates, but once you’ve tweaked it, it is amazing. Been using now for three weeks and would not sell the device. Recommend for those who are traveling a lot as well.

Great steam deck depending on if you want to be able to play steam games and games that require window with out having to use a micro sd card or install a dual boot system on the deck

Great handheld, though it does have it's flaws. The biggest is its battery, if you play on Turbo with max settings, it'll drain fairly quickly. Luckily you can tweak your settings to get the most out of this device.

This device is perfect for gaming on the couch or in your bed. I found that sports games runs perfect on the ROG Ally. If you’re not tech savvy I recommend you watch the introduction video given to you when you first boot the device.

The Rog Ally is my go to handheld gaming pc. I have a steam deck as well but much prefer the Ally. Its handles most any game you want and with surprisingly good performance. Armory crate makes customization and performance managing simple.

Awesome device, been using it for about a week now, and genuinely shocked with how well it performs. Only thing is dont expect to take it on a long road trup unless you have a power convertor or jackery because this thing eats battery for breakfast.

Versatile gaming system that is comfortable to hold on to. The playing ability is great to play a wide variety if games on Steam and Xbox. Would highly recommend this system for someone that wants to be able to game independently from a TV. Works great with my Bluetooth controller.

Very handy little device. Easy to take my games with me and do some light work. Feels good in my hands. Charges fast and battery lasts a good amount of time.

Plays Xbox game pass / steam / epic / battle.net and emulators. Not for the faint of heart when it comes to setup though. Requires a lot of tinkering and the battery could be better. I still use my computer and laptop for serious first person shooter games but I’m loving the Ally.

This is hands down the best purchase I've made in years! I absolutely love this thing. I love that I can bring my computer to bed with me and play games/communicate on it. I have so many games on it now that I have no possible way to be bored!

I love love love this thing. Asuse Thankyou for making this awsome hand held gaming pc. Plays every game I put in it. You do have to do all the updates but that does not bother me because I like tinkering with Windows.

Amazingly powerful device, biggest caveat is the battery life of course when running resources only lasts 2 hours max. When not playing resource heavy games you can get about four hours.

Great on the on the go handheld. Could not live with out since I bought it. My kids love it so it is definitely be usee all the time.

Really good handheld console, can run games from many games platforms (epic games, steam, xbox gamepass, you name it), if you cant afford a gaming pc or you just want a change of pace, this is a good choice since it has high specs.

I love it cause it lets me play xbox games pass and other store front games. Offers more than steam deck but wish the screen was an OLED. Perhaps next one will have that!

While my ROG Ally is generally ok, if undersized for elder eyes, the SD card slot is compromised by its placement adjacent to the heatsink (engineers didn’t pay attention in Electrical Engineering 101). Under heavy using (gaming, the primary purpose of this product), the data on the SD card will become corrupt due to heat, possibly beyond repair. While their does appear to be a soft recall, apparently, ASUS support and warranty repair is a consumer hostile experience in which ASUS will actively attempt to defraud or misdirect the consumer rather than resolve their actual issue. Please see GamersNexus and Louis Rossman on YouTube regarding their experience. As such, I won't bother using ASUS repair services, will accept the product as is, and will never purchase ASUS product again. When the joystick fails, i will replace that myself with Hall effect joysticks. Regarding the SD slot, to augment capacity, I simply replaced the NVMe SSD with a larger capacity model. I'd recommend the Steam Deck for a straightforward, console-like experience. For a more involved, enthusiast experience, i might suggest the Lenovo Legion Go or its successor (the controllers/grips need a redesign). I got lucky with my ASUS motherboard but won’t buy ASUS products again.
