Runs better then my ps4 most of the time, works better with my lg monitor i have that 144hz 1ms just waiting to get a hdmi hub to he able to do duel monitor setup

The bad part is that you need to open the console to change the memory card. If you want to upgrade. This is very archaic!

Works wonderfully with a variety of storefronts, I've used Steam, Epic, and GOG so far. My only complaint is short battery life, about 60-90 minutes per charge, depending on setting.

Only issue is I wish it wasn't full windows 11 and an os made for a handheld as windows uses a lot of resources to run.

Some may require tweaking the settings for smooth gameplay. Would definitely recommend buying the extreme over the regular. Will be upgrading the ssd soon because the sd card is known to be problematic.

We do understand your disappointment with the ROG Ally and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing overheating and issue with the SD card reader slot. To resolve the card reader issue, check if the memory card is working properly and the most current card reader and chipset drivers posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_download/ . If you are experiencing overheating while gaming is normal. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. You can reduce this overheating by tweaking your hardware and performance mode setting using the most current version of the Armoury Crate utility. Furthermore, update Windows, drivers and the BIOS if outdated. Additionally, if you are playing these games online, ensure this handheld device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. Don't want to be far from an outlet but if you think of it more as something for use around the house than on the go it fits very well

I recommend buying a long usb-c cable so you can play plugged in. Great system but battery is too small for such a power hungry unit.

Only thing we dont like is how hot the charger gets even though its normal for it

For a release device, it has far less issues than most new tech. I love this thing.

Sometimes it's a bit slow even plugged in on turbo mode. But overall it's a good system. It's like a little handheld pc. Just add a manual fan curve to keep it running cooler. Worth getting.
