Just get ready to spend about as much time tinkering with settings and performing updates as you do playing games. Terrible battery life killed it for me. I don’t want a mobile gaming device that has to be plugged up 70% of the time.

With where the vents/fans and micro SD card slot are located, it will overheat and short circuit the micro SD. My best advice is get a JSAUX M.2 Docking Station for Steam Deck HB0604. It has a slot for a SSD and you can bundle a SSD on there website. Already wasted 2 micro SD cards…….

Solutions include updating drivers, using a docking station, or RMA repair. ASUS extended the U.S. warranty to two years for affected units.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections. If all troubleshooting tips were performed to no avail, we recommend you send the product in for service if you are experiencing hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately.
