The iGPU is good enough for me and I can use it as a handheld for steam and xbox/game pass. I use playstation remote play too.

It functions like a tiny PC which is great but it needs something like Steam OS. Im not sure if that has been implemented but when i initially bought it it did not have a system like that.

Indeed, this ROG Ally is a powerful handheld PC running a full-version of Windows 11. Since Windows rolls out periodic updates, these updates need to be installed to optimize system stabilty and performance, including updates for this ROG Ally posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/rog%20ally%20(2023)/helpdesk_download/. You may experience slow updates/downloads due to internet connection or network traffic issues from the update server. This device doesn't come with Steam OS. I compared this to the steam deck and landed on this just for the compatibility aspect. I snagged an open box for a significant discount. Purchased "online" while I was in the store. Walked over to the counter and picked it up. Happy over all.

Now that the Ally X is releasing in July. If you can get this on sale or used for cheaper I would go with the X.
