    This hand held PC has so much potential, but the SD card readers crap out in them.

Please note that there will be updates for the ROG Ally in the future that will improve overall system performance and stability. Please verify if you currently have the latest BIOS installed:

      If you already have the latest BIOS version installed and you are still experiencing the issue please provide us with the following information:
      1. SD card brand and model
      2. SD card capacity
      3. SD card is first-time use?
      4. SD card work on other devices after failing on the Ally?
      5. Thermal profile usually used > Silent / performance/turbo/manual
      If manual, please provide us with the fan curve.
      6. How much storage capacity has been used on the SD card

    Great experience for me, I’m coming from a steam deck and this was just a much easier experience. Quality is great power is awesome, but the Convenience is unbeatable.

    Extremely pleased with this purchase, I was originally thinking about getting a steam deck, but hten did some research and decided that this was a better fit.

    playing games? yes it works and well, but there is a major design flaw. within 3 weeks the SD card reader stopped working meaning you were limited to the very small 512GB SSD and couldn't add any SD card storage, which also caused me to lose all the games installed on my SD card. Best buy refused to take it back as I was past the return period and ASUS said I had to mail it into them for repair which would have meant I couldn't have it for a month. they should have done better when they found such a wide spread known issue and just done a recall that could be fixed at the place of purchase. I ended up trading it in for a measley 180 credit toward the Lenovo Legion go, which in my opinion is a FAR superior product.

    Bought this in open box for my son for Christmas. Came broken out of the box. Guess there inspection is not that good. After multiple trips to the store and calling the help center finally got it worked out. Had to pay an additional $200 to get the new one. But it works good and my son likes it. Not sure i would buy an open box item again.

    Was not the best device for me. Screen was nice but the touch screen would stop working even after updating all the drivers and Firmware. Battery life seemed okay but I didnt get to run it through its paces. Asus does not have the greatest reputation right now, so its a purchase at your own risk.

    I really enjoy this device when it is cooperating. A lot of times it has trouble loading or freezing. But I like that it is windows so you can use any store front to play games! Gamepass on it is AMAZING.
