    Overcomplicated and takes way too long to set up or to let you even begin to play games. Considering getting a steam deck OLED instead.

    It broke when I accidentally dropped it because the travel case for it doesn't even have any handles.

    Wanted to love it.

    Had to hard reset 3 times in a couple days. I wanted to love it... But as we all know windows does not like to be hard reset. It was returned.

    Got stuck on bios, had to reinstall Windows several times, games wouldn't load even at low settings. Know issues with no added support

    User interface is atrocious, the buttons feel cheap, it crashes constantly and is really expensive. Just get the steam deck, this is nothing more then garbage.

      1. Open Armoury Crate on ROG Ally and press the trigger buttons to the Content tab.
      2. Tap on the ‘Update Center’ and wait until all the available updates load.
      3. Updating Firmware.
      4. Update everything available in the list, and you’re all done.
      5. Once the updates are complete, restart your console, and you’re all done.

    This is not worth it. Dont not buy. If you have the money i would advise you to get a steam deck instead

    Looking past broken SD card slot thumbsticks broke

    Thumbsticks could not look left and right. Right out of the box this thing was worthless. Too many common issues for a $700+ device.

    The ROG Ally is one of my favorite pieces of technology ever! It’s basically a full computer and can run any game or program. I am pretty tech savvy and I do think it may be a bit difficult for people that don’t do well with technology. They have tried to simplify the UI and I think they’ve done a solid job. You may run into some hurdles here or there, but the performance is awesome, the audio quality is top notch, and the screen and controls are great. The only issue can be the battery life when playing triple a titles, but if you pick up a fast car charger you’ll be okay. The included charger works great and charges very quickly. I know some have had issues with the SD cards but I haven’t experienced any problems.

    I have tired several A2 cards on this and they all failed. I had to return as this was a big issue and kills the expandability of the unit

    Great system. Buy one !!

    Really really cool device. Only complaints are battery Life and The heat. This thing gets hot. You can play it plugged in no problem but I wish the life was longer. But this is a given these kind of devices are new and It’s going to take some time before we get really king battery on a portable gaming pc. Definitely worth it. Runs Windows and I’ve had 0 issues playing any game. I did have an issue with a micro card. It worked just fine then it didn’t and had to replace it but I think it was the card not the system. I dunno maybe the heat ruined it either way my new card works just fine plus my back up one as well. If you’re thinking about it, pull the trigger it’s worth it. I would make sure to get a sad card as the ssd fills fast. The customization of the buttons is amazing as well. I’m an amputee yet I can play games on this like I still have both arms.

    Cheap base station and have to run the games in Low Settings plus you can't play games like MW2 or Destiny becaused neither performed well.

    Great, but not perfect handheld pc.

    Love my new purchase. The ROG Ally is a well made, powerful handheld gaming pc. It not just a console, its performance is equal to a nice mid range gaming pc in a handheld formfactor. Is it perfect? No.. it could use more usb ports to make it more usable with accessories, but that could compromise its form factor. So its design will always be a compromise. There are a lot of people having quality issues with systems crashing.. issues with the sd card reader, and so forth. My personal Ally has not had a problem, but that doesnt mean others arent having issues. Overall its a great unit in my opinion, but with room for improvement.
