I have only had the ROG Ally for a few weeks and I love it. I do wish it came with more memory, however it is very easy to upgrade. The performance and power of the Ally really surprised me. The graphics and framerate are outstanding. I can't compare it to the Steam Deck, (don't have one) but decided to purchase the ROG Ally due to it's processor and resolution.

Best thing ever for Diablo 4. Will run Warzone but I don't think it's fast enough for it. Mine didn't get hot like people told me it would. If your wife/gf doesn't want you too play on cpu or console this is the way out to be with them all time and still be able to play whenever you want ;) well worth it might be over priced but if you have the money get it! GL I love it

I personally love my Ally,more so than the Deck. It will take you some time to get everything how you want it, just like any other device. My reason for liking the Ally over the Deck is the performance and the fact that it doesnt have problems with anti-cheat like the Deck does due to it being Linux based. Plus the fact you can just walk into Bestbuy and pick one up is a big perk.

At first, there are a ton of updates needing to be done. You will not be able to do any gaming until they are finished so I would recommend to not even try to install any until after. Once those are done, this thing is awesome. It is like a 5 year old gaming laptop (maybe not that bad) but still good. Run all of my emulators on it along with quite a bit of steam games.

Ive been seeing this around recently on tik tok and in my opinion this is one of the best handheld devices. Being able to use xbox and steam, plus windows is amazing. to be able to bring that instead of a laptop makes my life 100% easier and i would honeslty buy this product

The most powerful handheld I have had,,,and I had a few,,,like ,,,,,the steam deck,,,aya neo,,,win600,,,,aya neo air,,,,onexplayer mini,,,I feel like there is more potential in the ROG ally,,,I upgraded the SSD,,,there are some rough edges to be ironed out,,,,but I like this device

First Impressions, Just walked into Best Buy hoping they would have this on display, they did but it was dead, but I was still blown away! I did not expect this thing to be so massive! I had to have it. Screen quality and UI so far is amazing, still working on getting it setup but couldn't wait to write a review about how massive this thing is, but in a good way!

Only 4 stars cuz it wasnt made extremely clear that buying an open box product runs the risk of not having the charger with the product, other than that the rog ally has been really fun to use and have a handheld gaming pc

My son loves his portable computer. It does run a little loud on high end games. You can purchase a portable video card for an upgraded performance, however, it is pricy. This in my opinion is superior to anything else that is out there.

Have owned this ally for about a month and it is an amazing machine. It has its issues(what console or machine doesn’t) but overall I love it! Coming from a console to a handheld pc is an experience but I don’t regret buying it at all!

Don't expect the immediate ease of use as a console or the steamdeck. if you can deal with windows jank this is a fantastic handheld. if you can't get a steamdeck or another similar device. Screen and Sound quality are very good though.

Good and best console better than other brand excellent resolution.

Amazing product, i can essentially play all my desktop pc games on the go

I’m posting this for people who read some of the reviews on here telling them to change the thermal past to help with the heating problem. Don’t do it. The Ally has a special thermal paste that’s probably the most expensive and best one available in the market. Putting cheap thermal paste on top of it will ruin it and heat it up even more. You can adjust the operating system though. The windows OS has a lot of bloat that runs in the background causing more CPU usage. Try getting rid of those first to reduce heating issue. You’ve been warned.

It’s something I’ve always wanted and works pretty well. I just wish when I got it, it came with the dock station to plug into my TV like it shows in the store. I didn’t realize it was a separate thing I had to buy.

Has awesome performance and can play most games but it takes some getting used to and its not ready to play right out of the box. Over time this can be the best mobile gaming device but needs more work. Overall awesome.

The Ally has been awesome since I removed Windows and installed Bazzite.

Love it, can't stop playing it and the video is really good

Pretty solid machine. Can use my Xbox and Steam account and play games over the Cloud. Can get warm, but has vents on top for heat to rise out. Great to have when at work, but have to have the power cable close by to keep the battery life runs for about an hour and a half.

I'm very pleased with the functions and how the device is set up. It's not perfect. Trying to type on a phone style keyboard is a bit annoying. But the device is comfortable to hold and it's hard to wanna put down. I recommend this device.
