Fantastic machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this randomly while I was looking for a way to starfield away from my Xbox while I was traveling. I've never been a PC gamer - always doing console stuff, but this thing makes it more "doable" for me. I had to update the driver's out of the box, but honestly, this is the equivalent of the console-of-the-day experience. It is a bit more involved but not a technical hurdle by any means. The machine is great..the screen is incredible. So much so that I don't even play on the Xbox Series X now. I play at 30w most of the time and just take the charger around with me. At 15w I can starfield for just over an hour. No complaints. Buy it and enjoy.

Great Gaming Device !
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, it has its problems but so many positives its easy to overlook some of the some items lacking. Great screen, great graphics, great hand held device easy to use. External monitors hookup with docks. They also have an external GPU which is expensive but great for high end gaming on a big screen. You get the best of both worlds with this device if you have the money. Better than the steam deck, switch and others in just about every way. I would highly recommend this product great so far feels like a pc in your hands Frame rates are the best for a hand held that I have ever had plus games are the best looking out of any handheld. so worth the extra costs. Downside more expensive.

Impressive little handheld. Great at what it does.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starting off, I had a Steam Deck before this, and also got the Legion Go. At the end of the day, I prefer this Rog Ally for mobile gaming. Performance is great, Battery life is meh, but enough for a 1h+ session which is okay with me. Ergonomic is also great. I like how the triggers don't go too deep. Windows runs great, ans Asus software on top of it makes it quite easy to use as a handheld gaming device. My fear though is with the micro SD slot so I never tried using it.

Great computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a lot more powerful than I was expecting. Great alternative for on the go gaming. Battery doesn't last as long as I'd hoped it would but I prefer to stay plugged in anyway.

Great gaming device
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this hand held gaming device. I can play my games remotely. I have a portal as well but the online multiplayer was choppy using my PlayStation portal. I didn’t have that effect with the rog ally. I would recommend this product . It also is like a hand held computer allowing me to install apps and watch videos.

Best gaming handheld for most.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this thing, have not put it down since I got it. Open box from Best buy was a great deal and everything worked perfect. The ally in my opinion is the best pick up and play device out of all of them. Everything just works, and it plays everything even current gen aaa games. My only complaint is battery life. You're absolutely not getting more than 2 hrs out of this thing I don't care what you read. Overall I highly recommend it.

I love my ROG
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system, do not use SDXC cards. Otherwise a fabulous machine with a gorgeous screen. Battery life is a bit on the short side but that is to be expected for a system of this power.

Great device for mobile gaming, battery a bit meh.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device for on the go gaming. Packs a massive punch. Battery life could be a bit better, honestly not on par with laptops, if you're trying to game on a flight.

Amazing device
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this device for a while now and can honestly say that it’s fantastic, it handles AAA games like Elden Ring very well for a handheld. 4 stars because the battery is a little short and if you plan on using this with out plugging it in then it might be worth going for the new model.

Best Of Asus
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this toy. It's stylish, elegant, yet powerful under the hood. It pretty much handled every game I threw at it. My best compliment goes to the Asus Rog Ally website game library that lists exact settings that would be perfect to play each game on the Ally X. Additionally, there's a lot of game performance automation that makes them run better in Turbo. Battery life is great, and having Windows 11 is a great extra.

ROG Ally play almost any games, but should you?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is pretty much the smallest PC as a hand-held but not your average gaming Console. The positive side for running Windows is the ability to play your PC Windows based games on the go, even more of a plus when getting the ROG Ally is the 3 months free of Microsoft Ultimate GamePass. The Ultimate GamePass lets you play a library of free PC games. This really allows me to try games before deciding to purchase certain game titles later on. After the 3 months, you will have to subscribe monthly to keep using the Ultimate GamePass and continue playing those GamePass PC games. But there are other game platforms on the ROG Ally to get free games and does not require subscription. Such as Steam, Epic Games, Origin; the list goes on. A search online will set you on your way how to get almost any game to play on the ROG Ally. But just because the ROG Ally can play almost any game, it doesn’t mean you should. Remember this is a little Gaming PC that can, but not all games will run smoothly or have a smooth experience; for an example, it is possible to run VR games on the ROG Ally and Wirelessly connect to the VR headset, but doesn’t mean you should. So be prepared to surf on the internet how to really take advantage of what the ROG Ally can do for you. Initially anyone getting the ROG ally for the first time, it is vital to update Windows/Armory Crate/and run ASUS’ software. Look up on the internet on how to keep the ROG Ally Updated and what to do to better the performance. There are a few things the ROG Ally needs to do before playing your games. The 512GB internal storage will run out when you accumulate a library of games. Upgrading the M.2 SSD to 1TB or 2TB is worth it and the process is easy. But be prepared to spend an extra $100 to $250 when shopping for a new m.2 NVMe SSD 2230 drive. The battery life on the ROG Ally is not ideal for long gaming sessions. So keep your charger close. The cable of the charger for the ROG Ally is a good length. I like the ROG Ally for Casual Gaming around the house. I enjoy Quick online multiplayer sessions. The screen is beautiful. The speakers are amazing. When the ROG Ally is Connected to a TV with a keyboard and mouse, you have your full PC setup.

Rog Ally
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First this device is not for me the average Joe. You need to realize this is a computer just in handheld form. For this device to work properly you need to get all the updates, including the bios updates. This device has a lot of customization to mess around with. At first my rog keep freezing up but once I downloaded the updates and tuned things to my liking it is great. The biggest downfall is the battery life it last about 1 and a half hours unplugged.

Good product, needs slight improvement.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well, playing Diablo 4 smoothly, very occasional lag. It runs windows, so you are able to install and run anything that you can on a normal PC. The only complaint I have is the default fan curve. If you run it with the default fan settings, the upper left and right of the touchscreen gets HOT! I set a manual curve, and the temps are much better. However it is definitely noisier with the fans adjusted. But the speakers do a good job drowning out the fan whine at a normal volume. Great product, just be aware of that one issue.

Worth the asking price by a long shot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic gaming console if you want a handheld that can play most of latest games. Having native windows makes it a lot better since I’ve used windows all my life. I got open box excellent and have no complaints. Everything was there and it was all packaged nicely.

The Current Apex of Handheld Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pre-ordered and received on launch day. So far this thing has been incredible, and as someone who held off on buying a Steam Deck, I am glad I waited. This thing has no limits to what it can play, unlike the Steam Deck, and is about 2.5x stronger in general than the Deck. The 120hz VRR, 1080p display, dual fans, and dramatically smaller and lighter frame, make this a clear winner over the Deck in every way. The complaints about ergonomics are just weird, as this thing is very comfortable and easy to hold. The Ally can literally replace every electronics device you own, aside from your phone, and it does it very well. Highly recommend, especially if you don't already own a Steam Deck.

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted something I could play video games more on the go and not be tied to a desk. I tried the switch and that didn’t do it for me. I enjoy the ergonomics of the device, the screen is sharp and bright, speakers are great. Yes the battery life isn’t great but for the performance and capabilities of this device that’s to be expected. The fact I can play games seamlessly but also use it like a portable windows machine for my streaming services it’s a very capable device.
