Beast
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best purchase ever! Plays most games at medium settings 1080p but with amd up scaling you can boost the performance even more. Feels alot like a miniature computer more than a handheld. Fair warning battery life is not amazing. While playing a game like Elden ring I average 45-50 minutes before needing to plug the console back in.

Good for on the go (if you got power)
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to use for work (i drive semi and i sit at customers some days for a hour or 2) ive had it since the end of last year and the only 2 things i can complain about is the battery life (i got a power converter in the truck and a charger to fix that) and the sd card slot burnt out after a bit. Or my sd card, idk i just upgraded the m.2

Impressive little handheld. Great at what it does.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starting off, I had a Steam Deck before this, and also got the Legion Go. At the end of the day, I prefer this Rog Ally for mobile gaming. Performance is great, Battery life is meh, but enough for a 1h+ session which is okay with me. Ergonomic is also great. I like how the triggers don't go too deep. Windows runs great, ans Asus software on top of it makes it quite easy to use as a handheld gaming device. My fear though is with the micro SD slot so I never tried using it.

I love my ROG
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system, do not use SDXC cards. Otherwise a fabulous machine with a gorgeous screen. Battery life is a bit on the short side but that is to be expected for a system of this power.

Awesome Handheld PC
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has enough power to play all the games I play at decent settings. Can upgrade the internal storage if needed. Battery life isn’t great but I typically will carry around a battery bank anyway. If your mainly going to use at home this is a great way to save money over the X

My go to Handheld
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome little device. I use it almost everyday with Steam games, mostly, but also have Battle.net and Epic. Even though it is not the most powerful, it plays everything I want it to, with no problems. Add in AMD Frame Gen 2, and you get a pleasant gaming experience on the go.

Sweer Handheld Gaming Device but.....
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ally ROG is a sweet Handheld gaming device. It has the benefits of a full computer running windows 11 plus all the benefits of a gaming device. It works well with Steam, Epic, X-Box and other gaming platforms. The gaming controls are easy to use but I wished they would provide better feedback when playing a game. The touch screen is responsive and easy to use. Connect the Ally to an external monitor, a mouse and you have a fully functional PC. But battery life could be better. Depending on the game you might get between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. However, the fast charging makes up for it. To get a full charge, it will take between 30 to 40 minutes. lot people have complained about the SD card not working because it is too close to the heat exhaust fans. So far I haven't seen or experience any issues with the SD card. If you are looking for a simple but sweet Handheld gaming device on the go, I think the Ally ROG is a good device for the price point.

ASUS ROG Ally 7”
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG Ally 7” 120Hz is a fantastic portable gaming device! Its 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth gameplay, and the vibrant 7” screen delivers stunning visuals. I had an excellent experience playing FIFA— the graphics were crisp, and the gameplay was incredibly fluid. It’s powerful enough to handle demanding games and is comfortable to hold for long sessions. The build quality is excellent, and the battery life is solid. Highly recommended for any gamer on the go!

ROG Ally play almost any games, but should you?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is pretty much the smallest PC as a hand-held but not your average gaming Console. The positive side for running Windows is the ability to play your PC Windows based games on the go, even more of a plus when getting the ROG Ally is the 3 months free of Microsoft Ultimate GamePass. The Ultimate GamePass lets you play a library of free PC games. This really allows me to try games before deciding to purchase certain game titles later on. After the 3 months, you will have to subscribe monthly to keep using the Ultimate GamePass and continue playing those GamePass PC games. But there are other game platforms on the ROG Ally to get free games and does not require subscription. Such as Steam, Epic Games, Origin; the list goes on. A search online will set you on your way how to get almost any game to play on the ROG Ally. But just because the ROG Ally can play almost any game, it doesn’t mean you should. Remember this is a little Gaming PC that can, but not all games will run smoothly or have a smooth experience; for an example, it is possible to run VR games on the ROG Ally and Wirelessly connect to the VR headset, but doesn’t mean you should. So be prepared to surf on the internet how to really take advantage of what the ROG Ally can do for you. Initially anyone getting the ROG ally for the first time, it is vital to update Windows/Armory Crate/and run ASUS’ software. Look up on the internet on how to keep the ROG Ally Updated and what to do to better the performance. There are a few things the ROG Ally needs to do before playing your games. The 512GB internal storage will run out when you accumulate a library of games. Upgrading the M.2 SSD to 1TB or 2TB is worth it and the process is easy. But be prepared to spend an extra $100 to $250 when shopping for a new m.2 NVMe SSD 2230 drive. The battery life on the ROG Ally is not ideal for long gaming sessions. So keep your charger close. The cable of the charger for the ROG Ally is a good length. I like the ROG Ally for Casual Gaming around the house. I enjoy Quick online multiplayer sessions. The screen is beautiful. The speakers are amazing. When the ROG Ally is Connected to a TV with a keyboard and mouse, you have your full PC setup.

Rog Ally
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First this device is not for me the average Joe. You need to realize this is a computer just in handheld form. For this device to work properly you need to get all the updates, including the bios updates. This device has a lot of customization to mess around with. At first my rog keep freezing up but once I downloaded the updates and tuned things to my liking it is great. The biggest downfall is the battery life it last about 1 and a half hours unplugged.

Good product, needs slight improvement.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well, playing Diablo 4 smoothly, very occasional lag. It runs windows, so you are able to install and run anything that you can on a normal PC. The only complaint I have is the default fan curve. If you run it with the default fan settings, the upper left and right of the touchscreen gets HOT! I set a manual curve, and the temps are much better. However it is definitely noisier with the fans adjusted. But the speakers do a good job drowning out the fan whine at a normal volume. Great product, just be aware of that one issue.

Asus Rog Ally
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Asus Rog Ally is an amazing console. I used this console when I went to the Philippines and Japan and it was very useful because I didn’t need to bring my laptop ! The only downside to this product is that the battery life dies quickly which makes it hard to stay on a game because when I’m out I would need a plug to charge. But overall it is a great product that I’ve been using for the last few months !!

The Current Apex of Handheld Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pre-ordered and received on launch day. So far this thing has been incredible, and as someone who held off on buying a Steam Deck, I am glad I waited. This thing has no limits to what it can play, unlike the Steam Deck, and is about 2.5x stronger in general than the Deck. The 120hz VRR, 1080p display, dual fans, and dramatically smaller and lighter frame, make this a clear winner over the Deck in every way. The complaints about ergonomics are just weird, as this thing is very comfortable and easy to hold. The Ally can literally replace every electronics device you own, aside from your phone, and it does it very well. Highly recommend, especially if you don't already own a Steam Deck.

Great device for mobile gaming, battery a bit meh.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device for on the go gaming. Packs a massive punch. Battery life could be a bit better, honestly not on par with laptops, if you're trying to game on a flight.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I’ve been playing with my ROG Ally for over 2 months now and it is amazing! It runs BO6 just fine and plenty of steam games smoothly! Only downside is if you are playing a performance game the battery doesn’t last long maybe 2 or 3 hours but on a not so demanding game and running on silent it last for about 6 - 7 hours

Incredible performance in a small form factor
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the LG Z1 Extreme Ally. Plays most titles at an acceptable level. The Nvme drive was too small so upgraded to a 2TB model. I recommend a dock and carrying case, as it is nice to be able to prop the device up on a table top. I would recommend the OG model over the X to save yourself a few hundred dolllars.

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this with the legion go and steam deck oled and what I saw in this is: its age in which a lot of people had guides and recommendations for this already It’s a windows os And how clean it looked What set me off from this a bit was probably just storage and the smaller screen but it’s veryyyy portable friendly and performs greatttt. I play OW2 and MW3 a lot and those games work perfectly fine if you have guides to help ya set the settings

Worth the asking price by a long shot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic gaming console if you want a handheld that can play most of latest games. Having native windows makes it a lot better since I’ve used windows all my life. I got open box excellent and have no complaints. Everything was there and it was all packaged nicely.

Go ahead live a little buy it and enjoy life
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is a beast compared to the Steam Deck. I have played Diablo 4 extensively on the handheld and everything is buttery smooth. I also have a coinops retro build that includes tons of arcade games especially Japanese shoot em ups which is perfect. Setup was a pain but other than that its been a blessing. The battery life is decent at best. The illest part of the machine is the screen which is doper than most handheld screens I've played on. No need to upgrade for years. Love my Rog Ally daily played.
