Excellent choice for handheld gaming console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More than a mini pc, that you can play as consol. Love the spec and can play AAA games at low setting. Affordable and best for its price.

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted something I could play video games more on the go and not be tied to a desk. I tried the switch and that didn’t do it for me. I enjoy the ergonomics of the device, the screen is sharp and bright, speakers are great. Yes the battery life isn’t great but for the performance and capabilities of this device that’s to be expected. The fact I can play games seamlessly but also use it like a portable windows machine for my streaming services it’s a very capable device.

Rog Ally is a handheld Beast!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the rog ally to be able to game on the go and i couldn't ve more happy. I'm a few weeks in and so far zero complaints. It is literally a handheld pc with wondows 11 on it. It is technically my first gaming pc as I have always been a console user so if the idea of switching to pc scares you don't let it stop you if your on the fence. Some of the triple A games i have run are beyond the ps4's capability and almost on par woth the ps5 and its a handheld! The obly down side is battery will drain fast when playing demanding games but if you buy a 65w battery pack you can extend playtime quite a bit. Overall 9/10

Nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mainly use this for work on my lunch break or if I am at home with the kids and don’t have the luxury to enjoy myself at my desk on my actual gaming computer. It’s very convenient for traveling or for Just on the go use. The only drawback I have is the battery life went running at 25 Watts. It’s not that long but you do get decent time out of it when running some of the older games that only require 10 W or less the battery life is very impressive. I have a steam deck and a Lenovo legion go. I would definitely put this at the front of the three.

Great for steam and gamepass
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This can play a lot of my steam library without any issues. Battery life is pretty short but otherwise is great. Can also get loud with the fans but if you have headphones in it’s fine.

Exceeded expectations!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Preordered this after many weeks of debsting between this and the steam deck. Definitely glad i went with this option as it was totally worth it. Plays every gamr ive thrown at it just fine. Yes Windows 11 isnt exwftly designed for something like this so thr UI can be irritating but what rlse do you do? The battery life is mediocre but honestly this is a handheld gaming pc…you cant have Nintendo Switch battery life with a device this powerful and versatile. If you dont have a handheld pc and want one get this over the steam deck. If you have a handheld pc already such as the steam deck there isnt a reason to get this unless you just want to.

Great device for playing PC games on the go
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hardware is great but the software still needs some work. There are a lot of shortcuts that help deal with the fact that Windows isn't fully ready for a device like this. Armory Crate is better than I thought it would be but it's annoying that you can't see your entire game library. Software jank aside, once you're playing games this thing is amazing. Great performance, a great screen, and the Ally stays fairly quiet. Hopefully future software updates will improve the out of game experience.

ROG ALLY Best PC/Console Handheld
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ROG ALLY stands out as an excellent handheld device for gaming. While I don't game on PC frequently, I thoroughly enjoy playing on my Xbox, and the ROG ALLY complements my gaming experience, especially with access to all the games in the Xbox Game Pass library. Its performance at this price point is remarkable, offering a satisfying gaming experience. The only drawback I've encountered with the ROG ALLY is its battery life, which could be improved to enhance the overall gaming sessions..

Asus Rog Ally Z1 Extreme
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a beast. The only downfall is of course the battery life. But it was designed to be used while plugged in. The right settings will net you 2 to 3 hours of play time on one charge. Or you can pick up a power bank.. this thing will run any game thrown at it, ps5,steam,xbox. Overall, myself being an xbox user, this makes it easy to travel to and from work and the ability of remote play means i do not have to lug my series x with me every where 2 times a month when i fly to and from work. Must buy.

So much fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic system, with so much support from the vendor and the community. Fast processing and impressive graphics most emulation use. Innovative software from Asus to turn from gamepad controls to mouse controls. Battery life sucks basically 1.5 to 2 hours. There are loads of weeks to get the system to run even faster along with front ends for game collections. Some issues. 1. Sleep mode fails often so I have to power off and on again 2. Have contact issues with the display not outputting to the TV or showing on both the TV and the main screen. Needs more control of windows in docked mode limited so you have to have a keyboard and mouse

Not really worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs of this thing made it sound really appealing but in practice it's not that great. I have to run games on low graphics settings and even then it barely reaches 60fps. It also gets hot if you play while charging even if you reduce the power output. I've measured up to 95°C. It's also not comfortable to hold. The grips are way too thin. I'm sure that part is better for the new xbox version that has extended grips. Overall I think this would be a decent $300 machine. I was lucky and got it on sale for $450 comspred to the normal $700 price, so I didn't overpay by too much but i still feel like it was too much for what it is

Amazing
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] I wasn't even in the market for this, but with everyone talking about it, I decided to do my own research. After a few days, I decided it would likely outdo my laptop so I'd give it a go. What an amazing little handheld. It comes with a full Windows 11 OS with overlays made by Asus. Whatever you can load onto Windows can be loaded on here. It's incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. The comfort is right where it needs to be. If I had to list any cons, it does get pretty hot and the battery drains pretty quick when you're running on performance settings. Clearly, both of those would be expected. Overall, very happy.

Use Everyday
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was a breeze and it is amazing to have access to any and all games on the go with a dedicated system. The battery is its only downside as the power consumption is quite high depending on the game, but for the price between the Ally X and this, the battery size is perfect.

Good, not perfect.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent performance, needs more memory and a larger battery. Runs older titles and indie games flawlessly, but it could be a lot better playing newer games if it just had a little bit more RAM.

Amazing device
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this device for a while now and can honestly say that it’s fantastic, it handles AAA games like Elden Ring very well for a handheld. 4 stars because the battery is a little short and if you plan on using this with out plugging it in then it might be worth going for the new model.

#ALLYourgames
|Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] The idea around the ROG Ally is great. While everything inside of this product is top tier, performance on this product is equal to that. I've noticed the ROG Ally doesn't get aim assist while playing FPS games. I believe the Joysticks aren't truly being registered to the game as a controller. I could be wrong, it could be a setting im missing. Product feels amazing in the hands Performs! 100 FPS @ 30ws in Halo Infinite which is incredible. I had a 3070 ASUS Laptop that was barely pushing 100 FPS on that game. This does that in a hand held form. Incredible. For other game use this is a 10/10 product.

Loving It
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I have had a Steam Deck for about a year and I think I am enjoying this more, but I will say the Steam Deck feels a little better in your hand, and is much easier to get running. The catch though, once you get this running how you want, it can run a lot more, most things better, and not have to play with compatibility work arounds. The buttons and hand fit on the ROG Ally is not quite as nice as the deck, but still good enough where I am more than fine. The screen is also noticeably nicer. In the end, I think the semi-tech savvy will like the Ally, and once they hone the software even more it might be a casual contender too.

Mind Blowing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this for a year...and everytime i use this im mind blown..born in 1995 this technology blows me away. Its a fast processing gaming computer..in a handheld..it plays forza/red dead/massive games with no issues..clearer than my tv..i love this thing. Battery isnt the greatest , an hour max id say but i dont use it as a portable, i keep it plugged in. And the storage can be increased which is nice
