This an amazing device on the bleeding edge. Windows has little quirks and isn't setup for a handheld, but Linux can't beat its combability with games and ant-cheat. It's fast and the 120hz VRR screen is bright and just amazing for a handheld.

This is not a handheld gaming device. This is a powerful handheld device that plays games. With Windows 11 and Office 365 cloud sync, I leave my laptop on my desk grab this and I can work then game, game then work u get the picture. I work in IT security and use both Mac and Windows along with my tools these laptops makes my bag very heavy then the power brick for the gaming laptop easily over 25lbs. I grabbed this my backpack feels like air now. If you are a bit on the Geek Squad of things. (Shameless plug lol) I have a Doc that allows full 30 honestly this can take over as a daily driver. I render a video faster on the Ally than my Mac Book Pro. Crazy!!!

I think this is the best handheld pc out there. Although I knew the battery life was horrible, im impressed by everything else it offers. I am truly happy with this purchase. If you are someone who just wants to sit on the couch or has short commutes, I recommend this.

First, yes. The battery life isn't great. But the thing pulls power, and has something to show for it! Its been a wonderful device to have around for quick easy gaming in a pinch, and with a usbc dock it even does well as a mobile workstation with portable peripherals! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I have loved my ROG Ally and being able to play games everywhere in my house. It plays most of my games very well. It is also a great Nintendo Switch replacement with my emulated games. I did have an issue with the SD card reader, but ASUS was quick to RMA and fix the issue.

Love this product literally can play whenever I want battery life isnt that good but I bought a power bank and it works great

we’ve come a far away from things like the game boy when I was a kid. This device is just awesome! I was playing Forza last night really enjoying myself. Then I shut that down and I used it like a Windows device and checked my email and ran my favorite Windows apps for about an hour. Yes, this thing is a beast at playing games, but it also can be a productivity device which I enjoy. Yes there are cons that people mention like battery life which is short! For me, though this isn’t a big problem you kind of know it going in that this is not necessarily going to get you 10 hours at the office, but it’s not meant for that. I would definitely recommend the external optional doc from Asus for this device as they give you a longer cord and the ability to run it through HDMI. Overall, this is probably the best product I’ve bought in quite some time, and it filled a niche that I was looking for.

Freedom to play any game I want from my favorite childhood games to new PC releases. Easy launcher and good standby battery life. Doubles as a home PC for when I do want to use a full windows desktop experience. Only downside is battery life.

So far so good. The only issue is windows 11. Sometimes you need a keyboard and mouse and the touch screen and pop up keyboard just aren’t going to cut it. The true winner here is the screen. It’s amazing and gaming on it is a joy.

Runs smooth. Looks great. Have had a lot of fun playing Diablo4 on it and a handful of other games on the go when I travel. Only lost a star due to low battery life and rough start before new updates fixed the bugs.

Great for casual gaming and as a handheld pc. Can easily use steam and other launchers. Looks and feel more premium than steam deck. Two minor issues i had: squeaky triggers and low quality when playing aaa games. Casual gand retro gamer will have an amazing experience!

This is such an amazing performer. So much better than the other options out there for quick on-the-go gaming and that is without compromise. I think if I were to travel for business I would take this for use on the plane, and as my personal device. I usually take 2 laptops with me but not anymore.

For anyone that keeps asking it’s a handheld pc, yes it can connect to a monitor you just need the docking station. The speed is ridiculously fast and the graphics is amazing like only handheld that has a 1080p not even the steam deck. I play it every where on my break at home road-trips on the plane

Pre-ordered mine, but unfortunately I've had to return it. My device was faulty- didn't read memory cards correctly, was overheating and battery life is a joke. Screen is great, general quality is ok. Bestbuy manager was not very nice. Didn't want to return money for faulty device, after a while of unpleasant talk offer store credit... - that why my rating is lower.

Love this device. Plays all my pc games with great performance! The battery lasts about 1 hour when running Ultra settings and turbo mode so that might be the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars. Otherwise just plug it in when you need to.

Plays any game that windows can play which puts it ahead of the Steam Deck. Battery life could be better and a few bugs which most new devices will encounter. Portable entertainment device for the avid gamer and a full windows experience.

It is a fantastic device. Runs any game I’ve thrown at it, including some that had difficulty running on Steam Deck. The SD card issue has hit me, unfortunately…but I expect that to get ironed out.

Excellent unit, pretty powerful once optimized (1080p not needed for this screen size). Gotta love the RGB too!
