I Returned the Legion Go for This

Bought a Legion Go and returned it to buy this. Main reasons I prefer this over the Legion Go/Steam Deck: Runs Windows (vs Steam Deck) 16:9 resolution (vs Legion Go) Button layout (vs Legion Go) Much lighter (vs Legion Go) The Legion go had some significant problems running some games because of the odd resolution. The screen is nicer, but that doesn't matter when it can't play the entire library. The games that did run well had control issues because of the strange button layout.

Very good gaming portability, plays most games well. I like Forza racing. Graphics at 1080p 120hz is enough. Not many issues at all. Works as a regular computer if needed. Great for emulators

I returned it. Too many glitches. Has a lotta potential tho. It’s so powerful, but when on the higher power modes gets as hot as a gaming laptop. It played a lot of games on super high settings. One game I enjoyed a lot was GTA V on almost max settings, it ran over 120 fps and looked amazing. My last straw was when the controller kept turning back into desktop mode while in-game, so it was like trying to play with keyboard and mouse through a controller. Very confusing and weird.

I only had this device for 24hrs and noticed it's been getting mostly 4 stars reviews. Even though it's been only 24 hours. This device isn't 4 star device. The power drain when playing higher spec games is a thing. If you don't play with the specs to change that. The storage isn't that much if you're planning to have those games stored on the device. Now i purchased a M.2 2330 2tb NVMe storage to replace the one included. I purchased Anker 737 power bank. With those two things those 4 stars review would become 5 stars. I only had it for 24hrs so i'll let the other reviews explain the other aspect, but with cloud gaming, pc gaming and emulating gaming. This is the future consoles of gaming here. Give it a shot or wait to the big name players to catch up.

Awesome knowing its a computer so small to hold but battery doesnt last long it has to be plugged in after 40min, not enough time for gaming away from a wall plug.

This thing is insane. Triple a games on the go… Sort of. I mean the only issue I have is the battery. To get 30w turbo mode you need to be connected to a cord.

Purchased to play windows game. Would jump to 100C when running user benchmark. Thermals are very tight in this form factor. I would love to have windows 10 installed instead of windows 11. For what it is, it’s worthwhile. But battery last way too short to really be a functional on the go gaming handheld.

I absolutely love this machine. It is a handheld powerhouse. If you are into PC gaming and want a handheld then buy this machine. Sure battery life isn't fantastic but what do you expect running such a robust hardware cpu?

My entire life I've only been a console gamer. I've wanted to build a PC, but as I've gotten older my time to dedicate to gaming has decreased. The ROG Ally was the perfect thing to be able to play games that are on steam and PS5 that I can't on my xbox. I have owned this for about 6 months now without issue. If you're looking for something to take on the go and scratch that PC itch like I had, look no further. I would recommend upgrading the SSD to 2 TB which I did as soon as I unboxed it (super easy to do). If you plan on playing on the go, you'll definitely want a powerbank or access to outlets.
