Great for portable gaming. With each update it keeps getting better. Battery could be better, though i suspect its more of a windows problem

Love the machine and the graphics are amazing but the battery life leaves me wanting more.

thought about purchasing this for a while and finally did. happy with the decision. runs AAA games very well and is very comfortable and portable

This is the best gaming habdgeld ive ever owner i would advise you swap the ssd to a bigger and not use a sd card for aaa games. Other than that five stars.

The Ally is a great handheld with a remarkable screen. I own this and the SteamDeck and definitely prefer this over the SteamDeck. If I were to rate this product when I first purchased it I would have likely rated it 4 stars due to some of its limitations (specifically inability to charge at full capacity unless you used the provided Asus charger), but Asus has done a really good job with providing regular software updates and continues to make positive, iterative quality of life improvements on the device. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested!

I love this thing! I am a PCMR type person but when everyone is asleep and i feel like laying down i can play my pc games in bed so its a seamless jump going from my pc to this in bed. Battery life isnt a issue for me since its always plugged in, my vehicles have a 100watt 110v plug in them. Super comfortable to hold, super powerful compared to the steam deck and the last of track pads is a huge plus for me as i hate track pads on the steam deck. I added a 1tb gen 4 m.2, 9h screen protector, asus dock, 3d printed a stand and dust cover for the external gpu socket that only leaves the usb c exposed.

A great handheld PC with a beautiful screen and solid performance. A bit on the heavy side, and does come with the advantages and disadvantages of running Windows

I really liked it as a portable gaming pc, issue was the battery length.

Definitely worth it regardless of what the bad reviews say its literally a mini computer alot of people just except something like a steam deck no its that and much more steam deck can be a Pc as well but its simplified straight to steam and to in experience users thats perfect RoG has a rough go at 1st but so does every new hand held now its updated with proper BIOs,etc give it a shot get the z1 extreme its worth it over the cheaper Ally

I got this to test against other handhelds and while the software is still a work in progres. For me I like this one the most because its light, it directs heat away from my hands on gaming, and I dont have to worry about compatibility with games. The only really big issue I have with it is that I can’t use a third-party GPU enclosure as an externalt GPU. I really hope Microsoft comes out with a handheld version of windows so it can free up some processing power

I only got this tonplay sims on the go and it did not disappoint.

I take my Asus rog ally to work everyday and it has been a great time, i get to llay diablo 4 durijg my break making sure i dont miss any raids and challenges.

Good handheld unit. Plays my games and is also a great handheld PC to watch YouTube and videos. I would recommend if you are looking for a handheld product that is similar. One downside is this market is moving so fast that this seems to be last years model with new models coming out. It still does what I want it to do.

Thought a long while to chose this or the Steam Deck. I ultimately chose this because it was cheaper, but it does not disappoint. Very ideal to use as a portable PC/gaming device. Havent explored the full potential of it yet, but its well worth it if youre looking for a handheld gaming device.

The ROG Ally with Z1 extreme chip is phenomenal. I have tried multiple different handhelds this past year and the Ally takes the cake. I'm 6'4" 270lbs with fairly large hands so, without a case, the Ally does get slightly uncomfortable after an hour or so of gaming. Since pairing witht the Skull&Co. grip case, I've had absolutely no hand pain even after several hours. If you have larger hands, be sure to factor in about $25 more for a grip/shell and you won't regret it.

The Rog Ally is “A game changer” (pun intended). I can play ALL my Steam games and more on it. If i’m playing a difficult level, I can pause, go into Windows 11, and browse the web to find help! The build is high quality and the Armory Crate management software is always improving. If you are looking for long battery life, buy a Nintendo Switch. But If you want to play AAA PC games for an hour or two with the ability to fast charge or play while plugged in for longer play time, this is an amazing device to do it on!
