For a $400 open box, can’t complain too much. The only downside is battery. Only can last for about an hour on battery.

The battery life isn't the best, but I love this device. Its really compact for travel and is my second most used handheld!

Absolutely everything I wanted and more. Yes, the battery life leaves something to be desired, but I haven’t glitched out of any games. I have played Overwatch 2 online with no lag +60 FPS. Can’t wait for more!

Love it. Having seen the pre-release reviews i was nervous, but so far it has met or exceeded everything i want it to do. Just wish the battery lasted longer.

This is an amazing product. If you are a PC gamer that wants to play anywhere I highly recommend this product. Where the Steam Deck excels the ROG ALLY goes further. Having Windows is both a negative and a positive. Being able to play all your PC games from any launcher is fantastic. ASUS onboard controls and settings are quite accessible and gives you a ton of control on your handheld experience. Battery life sucks we all know it but there enough accessories in the world to overcome this issue.

The Rog Ally is very great for on the go gameplay. The only thing really negative is the battery life. I recommend buying a power adapter for the car. Other than that its a 10/10

I bought one at launch and returned due to issues, gave a refurb a go and will be returning also due to issues, but the software and BIOS updates have been nothing short of amazing - and this is ASUS we're talking about, who make some of the absolutely worst software inflicted on the PC industry. I disable the auto-install of armory crate on my motherboard but the ally variant is solid. I am pleading with you ASUS, hall effect sticks and 32GB at max speed for the Z2 Extreme variant and it'll be an absolute success.

My ally is alright. Battery could be better, but overall performance is really good.

i been using it since i got it and everything that i do the rog ally can handle it i really love that i also been playing heavy games and it taking it like nothing i really recommend it

Impressive, a powerful, versatile and perfect console to play the best games, many options to choose from, and entertain yourself for many hours, and do other things (many, in fact), you have to be subscribed to Xbox, playstation or steam, but hey, nothing is free in life, and less good things. The battery lasts depending on what you are doing, it is adaptable, however the long charger gives you the opportunity to continue enjoying even if the outlet is not nearby. I just wonder. Why doesn't it come with a case or something to keep this amazing console safe when not in use. The bad thing about it; nothing, so far, A day it doesn't have enough hours to enjoy playing with. Many features I'm still discovering...

I love it! It runs wonderfully whatever game I play (after adjusting setting of course). I play a lot of Steam games on the go and this allows me to play them easily.

I think its a perfect size. Not to bulky easy to hold even when laying down. Simple as using a pc. Highly recommend.

Initial setup is BAD. Keep in mind the the armoury gateway app and this product are new. After setup headaches aside, it is amazing to witness the fluid screeen and high perfomance this little wonder deilvers

Wanted a portable hand held computer to play games and figured they this. Takes a why'll to setup because of lots updates. There's some glitches I'm it and have to be patient with some games to load. But overall very happy with it. Lots videos on how to twerk it and get beat out of it. Still lots to learn but if you want something to play games why'll away from computer or console I recommend this device. Hope on time gets to work as good as my consoles

This thing still blows my mind, and I've had it for a week. Just downloaded battlefield 2042 yesterday, and it plays it so well. I'm blown away at how convenient tech has gotten.

Love this thing, great performance in a really small form factor. Easy to upgrade or do maintenance on it. The only issue I've had with it is that a bit of hair builds up under the sticks over time, but that's a really easy flx.

It's a "Pocket" sized gaming PC. I've even run Starfield on it at low settings but still looks amazing. It's not a desktop replacement however i did use it as a replacement during our super heat wave a month back so that my room stayed cool while i used the Ally with a KVM switch so i was using all of my regular peripherals on a 4k monitor/tv. Played all of the triple A games on it just fine albeit low or lower settings but it gets the job done. Price is reasonable since it's a full windows 11 PC and run an amazon dock with it. You will need a 100W power supply if you want to run it on an amazon/steamdeck dock (works withe very dock labeled for steam deck pretty much). 10/10 IGN

It runs everything very well, has a pretty good battery life. The storage is only 450 gig which is fine for the device, Im going to upgrade mine soon but overall a great device

Armory crate is a bit annoying from time to time but all in all this is a powerful little PC as portable as a Switch.

It's a good concept but until the chips are more powerful or you are a console gamer it's really jarring going from 75-120hz down to 35 and then even worse when even on simple games like Super Mega Baseball you unplug it and the FPS tanks to 25 so you have to turn it up to consume 25-30w to get a stable 30 with lowered settings and using upscaling (RSR driver level) which chews through the battery. Build quality was okay. Needs a stand that isn't made of cardboard especially on the Extreme model at 650 bucks IF you find it on Sale after tax.. Can't have a Switch like stand or at least on made of plastic? This is a bit nit picky as you buy it for handheld mode but I'll give it that it has decent cord length but it's just not ready. Wish Nvidia would make one with an Arm chip and GPU with Tensor cores to use DLSS upscaling so at least you get decent upscaling. May look into the Claw since it has XESS but it lacks the support of DLSS. Also I saw the cpu running under 1ghz at 25w mode and it was what was holding back the game. AMD has a ways to go on APUs still for handheld at least. Performance plugged in is night and day from unplugged even turning the power up all the way won't be as stable on battery and its noticable. Couldn't get Cyberpunk playing at low Steam Deck settings at a stable 30fps at 720p either even on wall power without it so aggressively upscaled you can't make heads or tails of what's going on.
