This handheld came in great condition and is fantastic for someone that doesn't have time to sit too often like me. It's appropriately powerful and offers a multitude of options for modifications. All in all it's a great handheld and powerful computer.

Runs so smooth and has a nice display! Feels nice and not too heavy either.

I purchased an open box ROG Ally that has been considered good condition on the grounds that I will have a companion device that serve both my gaming and music production. I came knowing that there are issues with the SD card reader and the UI with Windows not being the best OS for a smooth gaming experience. From this… oh boy, did I fully underestimate the issues with this device and my overall customer satisfaction. What I did not expect is me trying to get this device repaired not a month after I owned for a potential battery or processor issue after power reset errors from gaming plugged in at 30W mode. What I did not expect is how this happened just outside of the 14 day return window. As I wait for potentially a month for this repair, I reflect on the issues folks have been getting and I am baffled by 1) ASUS quality control being lackluster and 2) Best Buy having the audacity to apply a 14-day return window for a device THEY know has a lot of issues. I honestly don’t know what could make this right, but I definitely don’t feel good with ASUS or Best Buy. ASUS for its history of being unreliable company when it comes to customer support and service. Best Buy by sticking to their guns with a hard return policy for a product with quality issues. I am not happy with this product from an experience standpoint. Get a steam deck or a Lenovo go instead. If buying PC components or a laptop, avoid ASUS.

First handheld PC after considering a Steam Deck, I’m glad I waited for this. Fantastic device, and plays everything I’ve thrown at it smoothly. Setup is just like any Windows PC, Armory Crate is a little buggy but overall works well, and most importantly I can play my favorite games on the go! Small con, not specific to my device. I know these are currently experiencing SD card issues, I personally don’t use that, but I would urge people to be wary of that if you do buy this and intend to use SD cards. Very happy with this, and would definitely recommend it!

I love it. It has some issues at times that involves a system restart, but honestly it doesnt really matter. Small price to pay for portable gaming B)

Great device for on the go or to use around the house . Graphics are great games run smooth. Love the rgb lighting on it. Highly recommend

Was very hard to use and set up, basically a handheld PC with good graphics, don't care for the touch screen typing only, seemed to run warm when updating. Overall was ok for what it offers

Great option when traveling! Battery life is limited, but if you are looking for a Windows based alternative to the SteamDeck, ASUS has you covered.

Really awesome for a handheld PC. Some issues with the SD card reader going bad because overheating issues; I've avoided that issue by not using it.

The ally is an amazing portable gaming device, and has all the performance I can ask for. However, asus needs to do some work on the software side of things. Essentially, there are multiple apps that you need to use to update this device. Asus does not tell you about one of them called “my asus,” where you get bios updates as well as other firmware updates from. Additionally, the armory crate software is not the most intuitive piece of software.

First of all dont believe all thr bad reviews, because many of those are from people who barely ynderstand how to turn on a cellphone, let alone set up a computer. It requires some patience and knowledge. If you dont have the knowledge be patient, the system requires many updates since its been wokred on by Asus and some Windows drivers also need to be updated. At most this will take you an hour or so, but once you get eveyrthing up and ready. Tryst me, the Ally plays all your games beautifully, so dont be dissapointed at first. The console is amazing for its size.

Would be 100% if it had a little longer battery but other than that, this thing is amazing

Such a good gaming handheld satifies all of my pc gaming needs. Super quick easy to carry definitely a good Christmas gift!

Many choices out now but this one still caught my eye more than the rest. Controlls are good, but wouldn't play CoD on this. At least not competitively, single player games are great on this and mmorpgs too. Played D4 on this and it played it very well. Would I recommend this to buy? Kinda, if you have money burning your wallet go for it. If you want to buy one big purchase for gaming then wait for a big sale and get a gaming laptop. But if you really want a handheld pc then I would recommend this one.

Great performance, perfect size, it’s a really useful device. Battery life could be better but physics is what it is.

The ally is an awesome on the go pc. As well as it works great as a midrange pc if you purchase the power cord that has the hdmi. Then you can run it with a monitor with mouse and keyboard. Pretty awesome!!!

When I initially got it I was underwhelmed because I only had games that had no controller support but once it got a few games with that support I've been having a blast with it, it very powerful for how small it is I play cyberpunk that's heavily modded and get 40-50 fps. I have been using this way more than I have my laptop and it's a plus that it runs on Windows so you can leave your laptop behind and use this the only downside is the amount of storage but that can be fixed easily.

Runs warzone pretty good. However one full game ate 40% battery, i guess they have issues with sd card but i dont have enough games to need it...over all i like it... might be a bit over priced in my eyes but hey it is what it is and i didnt return it so..... Should have a bigger ssd and i haven't got fully used to the built in controls , ps5 controller is way better than this built in one to me but it works alright
