This thing is just amazing. I can play Doom 2016 at 60+ fps while on battery and at intermediate Asus ROG battery consumption settings, all while having maximum settings on ultra. I highly recommend this is you want a portable gaming device. It can run Cyberpunk 2077 on high, not ultra high, rather on high, battery set on high settings, at 31-50 fps. It has run any game I've played, and surpassed my expectations. Well done on ASUS, specially for the price.

Great system. Reason for my 3 stars is the one I got originally had a broken left trigger. And my friends system got a broken SD drive and actually corrupted his card and is a known issue. Overall great system compared to the steam deck, easier to play windows games like Diablo 4 and game pass as eell

When it comes to gaming on the go thia is hands down the best choice in my opinion. It provides good visuals and 30-40 fps on mid to high settings. With vrr even 30 fps looks smooth. The battery life is short when playing on performance mode and the system does run a little hit but overall it is mu favorite handheld console so far and well worth the price.

I have mixed feelings about this gaming handheld. The Rog Ally is a perfect option for PC gamers who don’t mind tinkering and tweaking. It’s not for everyone though, as the user experience frustrations caused by Windows might annoy some. The amount of adjustment you have to do to the settings to get games running nicely also make the Ally struggle for less technically savvy. Battery life is also not a good one, but fast charging helps Ally get back to works immediately.

Great product. Its a portable computer in your hands with a twist of video games

1. Keeps resetting the fingerprint, password and passcode every other day. It's become so annoying that I've stopped using the product. 2. Ton of software glitches. For example, the Xbox game service app won't recognize the gamepad and then you have to close and restart until it does. 3. You set a visual profile and it will reset to default by itself. 4. Random errors that appear out of the blue. Basically, poorly written code. 5. Absolutely trash battery life. 6. Vent placed near the left hand and may fry your trigger finger after long sessions. 7. Heavy, if you plan on resting in your bed and playing games, well this won't cut it. It's too heavy and your shoulders will start aching in a matter of minutes. I can lift double my body weight and even I find this uncomfortable to use beyond 20~30 minutes.

Great device, very powerful, but the battery life isn't there yet. It's possible that the hardware and battery is adequate, but software isn't there yet. I didn't encounter the sd card burn issue, but it's obviously a teething problem that I hope they will overcome. The on screen keyboard is difficult to use if you ever want to use the ally for productivity.

The good: Build quality is solid, decent screen, gets bright. Great speakers. The ASUS tools make it easy to customize settings. The Bad: modern games struggle to squeak out 30 FPS on low settings even on max power mode and plugged in. For me this was a deal breaker as its a gaming console /PC. I get its handheld, and its not going to rival a laptop but for the price, spend an extra hundred bucks and get a 4050 or 4060 laptop. You get DLSS plus frame gen, larger screen and keyboard and touchpad. As far as handhelds go its great. Unless you want to game on it. I guess if your desperate and dont want to lug around a loptop you can get your gaming fix in on the go but it was just too rough form me and not enjoyable wirh the stuttering and frame deops. Also-No extra USB ports to plug in accesories. I would have liked to see a desicated chaeging port and at least one free USB C port since it is a windows PC

I bought this to use like a Steam Deck that played other games without having to jump through hoops. I can play most of my Steam games, Epic Games Store Games, and Xbox Game Pass games with little hassle. Some run like crap, but even the rather new Lords of the Fallen is totally enjoyable, albeit at 720p.

Really have enjoyed the Rog Ally. Wish it had more storage but it still gets the job done. Little slow when off the charger and kicking up the graphics all the way up.

Sd card issue is still strong but other than that its awesome.

Best handheld PC on the market, battery life is not great but performance is excellent.
