It connected to my Steam library easily and has enough power to play many games without issue. The only thing I need to purchase is the storage upgrade to 2TB because the 512GB it comes with is way too small for games these days.

Great Alternative to a Mid-Spec Gaming PC

I have a Mac and didn't want to build a gaming PC as I don't like gaming at a desk. I've been a handheld and console gamer for decades and like to be able to play games on my couch, in bed, or anywhere else I want. The ROG Ally lets me do that.

Everything about this device is great except for the battery life. It’s meant for hand held on the go gaming but if you’re playing a high end game you’re only getting an hour out of it. With settings tweaked I only got it to last at max two and a half hours for emulators.

ROG Ally Z1 Extreme

The card reader is still faulty and will require an RMA to replace. That said, it is the most powerful hand held on the market and is an exceptional piece of equipment when it runs. Cloud Recovery is also really bad.

Best Gaming Handheld Ever!!

Turbo mode offers the best performance at 30 watts which you need to be plugged in. Better than the Steamdeck in that you know your way around configuring PC and windows. This isnt a console for impatient, "I want it to work out of the box without knowing what im doing" types. Lights are an awesome aesthetic. Controls are nice amd comfortable.
