I'm very happy with my experience with this. I did have the issue with the SD card reader failing, but Asus was very easy to work with to have that repaired at no cost to me (I repurposed amazon packing materials to ship it in). One gripe is the battery life is not the best. Maybe 2 hours of play even at 15w setting, but a great experience nonetheless.

The device excels in playing AAA titles and a wide range of other games. However, the battery life is limited, and the Windows operating system on a handheld gaming console can be cumbersome for non-Windows users.

At first I really was weary about purchasing since I already had another device that I could play my games on my phone, but this thing knocks anything else out of the park. Setup was relatively easy and I took others comments and updated any software before I put it through it's paces. I haven't needed to do heavy configuring since I use it for moderate gaming and emulation. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.

Having purchased both the rog ally and legion go and weeks of testing i gave the latter the shot. Dont get me wrong the rog ally is solid and speedy but not as smooth inbetween gaming and desktop use. also keep in mind it does have its issues such as the sd card possibly failing i didnt want to take that chance

Ok this thing is powerful, and the XG port makes it worth it even more. This is now my mobile gaming system with an XG dock. It can even play VRChat through Oculus with the XG card. Diablo is running ad med to high in portable mode. Beef swith the system. Got to start this off with the battery life. Its fairly small at 2 hours. Next is windows sucks in tablet and portable mode though I manage windows tablets at my work it's still a pain to use.

Loving the rog ally! I cant believe 1080p gaming in a handheld natively is now possible. The 120hz display is actually grest looking and the colors are great. Now since this is the first major handheld pc somethings on windows needs smoothed out but thats microsoft to figure out. Easy to upgrade store i already have 3tbs of storage plenty enough for on the go. Nice to know if i wanted to make it my dedicated gaming pc i could with the xg mobile.

I love this thing especially with the long commute I have, this offers hours of entertainment.

Great device for gaming on the go! The screen is bright and vibrant and the controls are very responsive.

Previous to this O had a 1k gaming PC. I stopped using it after buying this gem. The main reason is because now that I work from home, my desktop is always busy with my work laptop, so I had to do a lot of changes on my desk in order to play half an hour and ended up not playing at all. People, don't buy gaming PCs, buy this instead.

Excellent device, battery life doesn't last long but amazing device.

This machine is like having magic in my hands, the speed, the quick response that the joysticks have, the variety of things that you can do such as watch videos, look for reviews for other devices, and other awesome things like its wide storage. Its perfomance cannot be compared with other devices in the same line of products. I really enjoy having it and I don't regret buying it

So far it runs games pretty smoothly. I did the updates which is definitely the first thing you need to do. Armoury crate is alright and honestly, it runs as expected on a handheld running windows. I was one of the first to preorder the steam deck and was pretty disappointed more so with the display. The ally’s display is way better and the fact that im not limited to just my steam library is a plus. It’s only going to get better with the updates

I was excited about this device, it has a great screen played modern games decently. I ultimately returned the item, it had slow download rates. Another issue I had was the sleep/wake up and the built in control would not work and it would require a reboot.

This is a great system once you get it set up and optimized. Runs some pretty demanding games really well. It isn’t a laptop replacement but in the handheld gaming market this little system really shines. Upgrade the internal storage and pick up some accessories, dock, power bank etc. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials out there that will get you up and running quickly too.

I am not easily impressed but this thing is amazing. I really wanted a steam deck but could not get myself to buy it due to the bad screen quality. Low resolution and bad colors. The ally does everything and have not had one issue. It runs windows so if you are familiar setup and use will be a breeze. Still a few software things I hope Asus improves on like more features for aura sync, allow macros to work in auto mode and a few other small things

Best hand-held I've personally used. I just wish it came with bigger storage, luckily it's upgradeable!

The ROG Ally is muc more capable than the Steam Deck, which i sold the purchase this. I have not had any issues downloadijg and playing games from various services, such as Xbox Game Pass, and steam, and battle net. Some people have reported issues with micro sd cards, i have not experienced any isses eith mine. The screen is perfect and varable refresh rate works perfect. My only complaint ia that i havent had enough time to play.
