Had issues with SD card working properly. Battery also wasn't great. If I'm going to have to keep it plugged in, I might as well use my gaming desktop. I believe after a few updates, this could be a great device.

Worth it!!

And its been surprisingly a very good experience so far! I had a few hiccups when i was doing the out of box setup with windows and the fingerprint scanner being weird but other than that its a very strong handheld pc!

I have a Switch, but wanted to play more mainstream PC games on the go. Rog Ally was the perfect answer for me. It is super fast, load times are very minimal, and graphics look amazing. Windows 11 works surprisingly well with the mini screen and touch interface. Highly recommended.

Love how easy it is to upgrade the storage and overall i really like it enough to gifted my steam deck out ( wife made me ) since my wife got me this for my birthday extra accessories included with the birthday package ^_^d *yay*

I've wanted to buy a Steam Deck but most of the games I want to play are Windows only and this handheld PC fits my need. Very powerful for a portable and quite intuitive as far as accessing games library because of Asus Armory Crate. I'm sure the experience will only get better at more updates and optimizations are created for this platform.

Battery last around 2 hours depending on which game you play with which is pretty good for a pc, gaming laptops are about the same

It was quiet before the update but still the quietest windows handheld by far. Not the best ergonomics but not the worst. The textured plastic helps your grip, but it feels cheap. You can't compare this to a steam deck when you think about this 1080p screen and the power to match.

However, the most important thing, battery life is quite short on this device. Short enough that it wouldn’t really work that well for handheld-heavy moments where you do not have the freedom to be plugged in to the power. I hope the ally 2 gets a massive increase in battery life.

Playing AAA titles on a handheld with good graphics and framerate. There are some things you should think about before purchasing. If you're not willing to go through some of the optimization of games you might have a rough time trying to figure it out the first time. Street fighter is a good example of this. Hope this helps!

I debated whether to give it 4 or 5 stars due to some of the software and OS issues you are bound to experience, but overall, even with the issues, I appreciate the versatility of the device. Also, I upgraded the storage immediately. Mine now has 2TB internal and 1TB microSD. What an amazing device, especially considering where I started this gaming journey (Atari 2600).

The VRR screen feels like a neccesity on these and none of the 7840U options have it. The only problem is battery life. The battery life is terrible.
