I bought an open box that was supposed to have a 512GB SSD, but there's only 256GB inside the Ally. Otherwise, it's a decent unit. It's a little overpriced, but it's still alright. Asus locking people into their XG mobile gpu's is a real killer, though. Stop being stingy, ASUS, and let us use any eGPU; this would definitely increase the hype for these units.

I love this device more than I love myself sadly. Ever since I got the rally life been so great to me. Everybody thinks I'm the ultimate geek and I love it. Definitely highly recommend.

There is a lot of controversy about the ROG Ally but mine works flawlessly. No issues what so ever I’m on a road trip and while in the road I was playing CoD with my friends connected to my phone hotspot. It was awesome to be able to do that while the wife was driving. Love this thing

Battery life could be better. Windows OS (not asus isse) could be better for handhelds. Being able to play Xbox store, steam, EA, Blizzard etc games on the go is pretty clutch. I still use my steam deck since it has more of a console feel due to Linux but this is a good machine.

Not a console. It's a PC, it's a wonderful product just way overpowered to be called a console

I tried the Lenovo legion go but the screen died and has to return it. So I went back to the ally, my only complaint is the battery life but it's manageable with portable power bank. I love this device; I don't mind windows at all and I manage fine.

Great system. Runs all gam well and allows for me to play games while traveling to kill time and make traveling more enjoyable.

Great performance for a handheld. Shoddy software from Asus but hardly a deal breaker. Multiple graphical options (outside of games' own options) to improve performance and/or picture quality.

Runs fantastic. Playing modern games with decent fps and settings. Emulation is amazing.

Insanely handy little device, would recommend using a keyboard and mouse while doing install work though… with Frame generation; this unit is very capable…

Super fun. Like using a mini pc. Only main issue is battery life. Can’t play games at full performance without it dying fairly quick but that’s expected. Other than that, wonderful.

Just been enjoying the ROG Ally. If you are into computers and know how to trouble shoot you will have a blast. Setting game peofiles and display settings for each game will help you have a smoother gaming experience. And especially for the price point it makes it a great buy.

Great quality but, it isn't working with many games, sometimes it was too slow. The battery run out in 1 hour, it's beautiful but just that.

It does the job when it comes to gaming. Also great for work too.

I travel for work frequently (on a plane), and this handheld is great!! I recommend this if you’re tired of the Nintendo Switch, and want a powerful little PC. Honestly, the only issue is you really need to be plugged in to enjoy the full capability. Would recommend!!
