Great and convenient tablet for PC gaming. I'd say even better than the switch!

I think that the potential for this type of device is great. The unit I purchased had a bad die or some sort of hardware issue that caused persistent crashing. The recent update dropped performance by almost 30% if I remember correctly - which is still better than the Steam Deck. When it did work, it was great: had great visuals and audio, fit my hands well, and delivered an overall pleasant experience. All in all, I would say that you should definitely buy this if you've got the cash for it, just don't expect it to be as easy to navigate or as comfortable as your PC. If you're on the fence about it, maybe wait until the next generation.

Performs great! Make sure you turn off screen timeout or you will be upset waking up and your games aren't downloaded.

Bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it! Graphics are great and plays smoothly. I also purchased the case of it and it fits perfectly. Highly recommended for any gamer.

Great system for gaming, the windows OS s a bit clunky and wouldn't be great as a standalone pc replacement but it's a powerhouse for gaming on the go!

Is great if you want to play some pc games on the couch or if you have a strong wireless conection stream over the cloud planning to get some emulators too great addition to a pc set up

I bought this product in hopes of playing diablo 4 and a few other games that weren’t graphics intensive. But it wasnt as consistent as i would like it to be. The size, screen, controls were top-notch, but windows 11 isnt meant for mobile devices. The ryzen z1 extreme has some potential to be good, just isnt as good as it should be in this product. Not to mention i cant use micro sd cards for the fear of them being burntout. I will be returning and waiting for the legion product to come out in the future.

I returned my Steam Deck and bought this instead. I dont have a huge steam library so this made more sense. I absolutely love it.

Just don't expect laptop level performance. But can run AAA titles on lower settings, usually sub 60 fps. You will only get top performance plugged in or on a high watt battery pack. State of the for handhelds.

It’s better than having separate games systems can have it all in one device plus get to play computer games and has plenty of storage does not do any lagging I love it!

I bought the ROG Ally on an open box special. The handheld gaming device was in like new condition. It looks to be an awesome device even now but with the frequent patches provided by ASUS and the other vendors it keeps getting better.

The Ally is awesome. I think many software improvements could be made and the company should offer a higher storage option so users do not have to do it them self's. However I love it.

It’s a great handheld console, ran everything I’ve thrown at it. Can be a bit heavy after a while but you do get used to it

Love it, great for playing games on the go . I would Highly recommend if you’re slightly computer savvy . If you want something you can plug in and go without any computer knowledge . This is not it .

Picked mine up yesterday. Already enjoy it way more than the steamdeck i had with the need to constantly tinker with game settings. Bought cyberpunk 2077 for the first time and runs 1080p at 30fps with minimal drops in handheld performance mode.

The initial set up is very annoying. After that I love it. Lot of Windows updates and Windows Bloatware. Clean it up and disable VMP & Memory Integrity. That will help Performance. I like this way more than the SteamDeck which was very good.

I purchased and ended up returning an open box unit. That said, if you're aware of the limitations and issues, this has the potential to be a great handheld gaming device. Maybe not at the MSRP now that a newer generation of the device has been released. I was well aware of the SD card issues (something that isn't a problem for my use), and I was looking forward to enjoying the device. That said, when I went to factory reset Windows 11, I found myself unable to activate Windows. Turns out, after much troubleshooting, the OEM embedded license was for Windows 8, which will no longer activate a "new" install of Windows 11. My options were to either purchase a retail license of Windows 11, run a gimped OS on a brand new device, or go Linux. I chose to return the ROG Ally and go with a different product which has been nearly flawless.
