This thing runs windows flawlessly (as flawless as windows could be). The vrr screen is fantastic and it's an emulation giant!

Everything I need in a handheld gaming system

So nice being able to play any game i want on a handheld vs my steam deck where I had to jump through hoops to play certain games.

Amazing performance. Runs to a 4k tv and runs 4k games at 30-60fps in some cases. Does require tweaking and adjusting at times but is well worth it

You're better off with a Nintendo Switch or a Steam Deck. This is a handheld PC. It packs a punch but the battery life is terrible and the micro SD card reader will eventually stop working (research it, its a manufacturing flaw). Way too expensive for the amount of flaws it has. This is coming from a PC gamer and builder.

Buy the warranty and you will be covered. This is a great device that blows the socks off of the steam deck and switch. Amazing machine

Saw this and thought why not!! ASUS is kinda terrible, really buggy when I was trying to set up an account, and also just really tedious to use. Not to mention the defects that came out the box. SD card reader was broken when I got it, a defect thats been pretty widely documented, with the chance of destroying your SD card if you aren't careful. Had to send it in to get it repaired which took 2 weeks, doesn't even come with a case. Honestly I'd never recommend this to anyone, buy a steam deck

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you had issues with the ROG Ally. ASUS is an ISO certified company, as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free, and are built to last. We are aware of the SD card reader issue and a hardware fix was implemented to resolve this. To resolve the stability and performance issues, please update Windows, drivers, BIOS and the Armoury Crate utility software if outdated. Updates for the device are posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_bios/. Configure the game and video settings inside the Armoury Crate utility. Additionally, if you are playing these games online, please ensure the device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application.
